Bink Flip Cap Orchid

Love this bottle, but I’ve had to replace lid 3 times because the handle breaks off. Twice from dropping onto grass and once from twisting closed with the handle. Additional star for the option to just buy a replacement lid.

I need to drink a lot of water, and I hate the taste of metal bottles, but I'm also trying to get away from so much plastic. I bought two of these when they were on clearance, and I carry them with me absolutely everywhere. I've also bought the even bigger bottle directly from Bink's website! The lids come completely apart and all the silicone seals come out so that you can clean every nook and cranny - as a slightly germophobic person who gets horribly grossed out by mold and mildew, this is a lifesaver. One downside - I experimented with the first bottle I got, and they say they're dishwasher safe, but I'd only MAYBE do that to the glass bottle, nothing else. If you wash the bottle with the silicone sleeve on, it may fuse to the bottle, and it's a headache to get off. Also, if you put the lids through the dishwasher and don't take them completely apart, soap will get into the silicone seals, and your water will taste like soap. I'm also pretty sure that running the lid through the dishwasher at high temp is why the drinking spout cracked on one of my lids. Bink does sell some replacement parts on their website, but not these lids - I emailed Bink's customer service with a picture of the damage to see if I could order a new lid, and they sent me a new lid for only the cost of shipping!! Honestly, this interaction is the main reason I'm writing this review - it was really easy, the person I spoke to was pleasant, and I really appreciate a company that will not make me buy a whole new water bottle just because one part fails. I've attached pictures so you can see how the damaged one had also faded - again, I carry these water bottles everywhere, and this is the first one this has happened to. I think running it through the dishwasher at high heat was not good for it. It's fine though, since the lid and bottle come completely apart and I rinse them out daily, it's not a big deal to do so and handwash the whole thing once every 2-3 weeks.

I love this water bottle but the handle broke after two weeks

Lovely glass bottle in a silicone cover with hour marks to track your water consumption. Better than stainless steel, doesn’t impart a weird taste to the water after an extended time. Handle does feel less sturdy than other brands. I would not recommend tightening the cap using the handle, instead seal bottle by putting the handle down and turning the cap. Since it is glass, don’t expect to chuck this about carelessly and not break.

Was very excited to find this water bottle. Love that it is glass. I'm very disapointed after just the first week the handle broke right off. Will be returning this unfortunately
