Q: What year is this phone model? (I'm looking for a screen protector that fits, but need to know - is this the 2025 model? Or older?)
submitted by A Mom asking - 8 months ago
A: Hi, thanks for reaching out about Boost Mobile moto g
Yes, this listing is for the 2025 model of this phone. Because Motorola releases a new "moto g" every year, finding the right screen protector can be tricky.
The thing to remember is that the 2025 Model has a 6.7-inch screen. If the listing mentions a 6.7" display or "Android 15," it is the 2025 version. The 2024 Model has a slightly smaller 6.6-inch screen.
If you have any additional questions, we welcome you to contact MyTGTtech at 833-848-8324 every day, between 7am-11pm CST.

Q: Does this phone come with a charger base & cord?
submitted by Miss T - 9 months ago
A: The included items can sometimes vary by the exact version of the Moto G, but typically, the box includes the phone and a USB Type-C charging cable for connecting to a computer or a wall adapter. Since a separate wall charging base (adapter) is often not included, you might need to purchase one separately.

The Moto G 2025 offers a compelling blend of features for budget-conscious guests, including impressive battery life, a large 120Hz display, and ample storage. While some users appreciate its durability and smooth performance, others have reported issues with lag and camera quality. Overall, it serves as a reliable option for everyday use, especially for those familiar with Motorola's ecosystem.

Great memory capacity
My moto g - 2025 replaces my old moto g 2023. It has so much more memory, I don't think I'll ever again be concerned with my phone being too full. I am a bit disappointed that it came with a charging cord that has mini usb on both ends, but no charging block to go with it. I have read that it is suggested to use the cord that came with the device, shouldn't that also apple to the block?
1 reply from Motorola Customer Care team - 25 days ago
Hi Lane, thank you for sharing your feedback, and we're sorry to hear you were disappointed that your phone did not include a charging block. We're glad to know you're enjoying the increased storage and overall memory capacity of your new phone. Some Motorola devices no longer include a charging block in the box as part of an effort to reduce electronic waste and environmental impact. This has become increasingly common across the industry. The included USB-C charging cable is designed to work with a compatible USB-C power adapter, and for the best charging performance, we recommend using a Motorola TurboPower charger or a compatible USB-C Power Delivery (PD) charger. We truly appreciate your comments about the in-box accessories, and we'll make sure your feedback is shared with the appropriate team for future consideration. Thank you for taking the time to let us know your thoughts, and we hope you continue enjoying your phone. If you ever need help, give us a holler or reach out to our official Moto G 2025 community page: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/moto-g-2025/bd-p/moto_g_2025_en.

This phone is outdated and slow. Maybe good for paper weight. I had a weak as back up phone and barely dropped it shattered screen horribly. I think I'm going to Samsung I just hate them they make you pay for the name. But this is garbage.

Good if what you need is an expensive paperweight
Utter junk. My first cell phone purchase, and likely to be my last. It's unusable. There is no means of charging the battery.. Without being able to charge the battery, the phone is unusable. Not going to even bother activating it. Why pay a month's worth of phone service when it could only be used less than a day, until the battery runs flat? It came with a charging cable, but both ends fit the phone, and neither end fits a power source, like a wall outlet or a computer USB jack. If an item needs to be recharged, then it ought, by rights, to come packaged with the ability to charge it. I thought I was buying a phone, but what I got was 6 ounces of useless dead weight for my pocket. Who needs that? It's like buying a car without wheels, and then having to walk off the car lot to buy some wheels so you can drive your new car off the lot.

Loaded with so many features it blew me away!
I have had free phones because I qualified and still do for 15 years. The problem is the free phone I get is automatically outdated by several OS like the last one was an Android 11 phone. After all that time I finally got tired of those phones and splurged on this moto g 2025 model. It's quite a beautiful phone. Because I was using an outdated Operating System I was unaware of all the features a newer phone would have. I started to play with it and my heart started pounding I thought I could be playing with this phone for days, weeks and it scared the poop out of me. It wasn't because I couldn't understand the phone it was because I wanted it ready for popping and a locking right away. Well that didn't happen and I've reset my phone twIce now. That's okay because that's how I learn. I still have many miles to travel with this phone even if it will only be at home. I love this phone! I really need to allow myself to read the manual once in awhile because I lost the ability to use personal photos as wallpaper. I figured it out. I disabled one too many sub apps you know all the ones you shouldn't be touching. I wish I could go back to OS 15 to find out if I would like it better. So the only thing I would majorly change is the keyboard. I know I can download another one but there is nothing better than a Samsung keyboard. Gboard is so glitchy it drives me nuts. Motorola you need to make your own virtual keyboard instead of adding other companies generic ones. I love the feel of this phone in my hand. It's really up there in the high-end feel of the vegan leather. This thing is so slick that it travels on its own with very little momentum. I mean seriously I find it under my butt more times than I can count. Please forgive me but I don't use the camera because I rarely leave home other than medically necessary. I really could have used this to see some of my surgical sites. One other thing what's up with not adding a charger to the box? What is the standard USB cable that doesn't even fit the phone going to do? I don't like needing to purchase multiple items from different companies instead of getting the full use item out of the box. I don't mind not getting a case. Oh well I got lucky because my mom had my daughter in law's cable and charger that she left a couple years back at our house that fit the phone perfectly. It's even a ruggedized cable, best I have ever had.

Hi Sharina44, Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear you’re enjoying the design, feel, and overall experience of your Moto G (2025), and that you’re discovering many of its features as you get more familiar with it. We also appreciate your honest comments about setup, customization, and the learning curve when moving to a newer Android version. It’s great to know you were able to resolve the wallpaper and settings adjustments as you explored the device. Regarding your note about accessories, packaging contents can vary by region and model, and some devices may not include a charging adapter in the box. This approach is often taken to reduce electronic waste and support compatibility with existing chargers. We truly value your feedback on the keyboard experience and overall usability, as insights like yours help inform future improvements. Thank you for choosing Motorola and for sharing your experience with us. If you're interested, please follow our official community page: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/moto-g-2025/bd-p/moto_g_2025_en.

Nothing but Glitches
Long time Motorola user, mostly lower mid tier phones, Moto G's. My last phone was the 5 G Ace which was a great phone, but I had iss5with the charger so this past December I purchased 2 Moto g powers 2025s. Nice looking phones, but shortly after purchasing it's nothing but glitches. Shake light doesn't always work, finger print scanner doesn't work often. Laggy and slow. That's just my phone, my wife although she has not complained about hers, has issues with the volume going crazy loud. I said something to my son who has the 24 edition says his acts very similar to mine. Frustrating! I know it's not a top tier phone, but come on. Lol phone locked up while typing this
