A: When connected to hdmi or optical it will turn on witth your tv. HOWEVER, the soundbar does automatically power off on it’s own and when it does you have manually turn back on the speaker. For example, if you are watching something and pause the video for a while the soundbar will auto power off eventually and you have use the Bose remote, app, physically press the power button on soundbar to turn it back on to connect again.
