Q: Hi what’s the difference between this one and the boss solo 5?
A: The Solo 5 only has 2 speakers whereas this one has 3 speakers...
submitted bySamdooby - 4 years agoA: It's smaller than the Solo 5 with much better sound quality and bass. It also has a new speaker for improved dialogue from the TV.
submitted byPeter - 4 years agoA: Solo 5 has no HDMI connectivity. You can only connect it to your TV with optical cable or 3.5mm audio cable. This unit has HDMI connectivity. HDMI-ARC and HDMI-CEC allow you to connect and control the soundbar and other devices through the TV remote via the HDMI connection, without the need for having and programming a universal remote.

Q: Is this soundbar compatible with a Samsung Q tv? Will it enhance the sound quality?
A: The Bose speaker is NOT compatible with the Samsung Q-Symphony set-up on Samsung TV's. It will NOT work with the Samsung Q-Symphony system. Only a designated sound bar will work with Q-Symphony.
submitted byMichaelst7 - 2 months agoA: The Soundbar is designed to work with Samsung and other TVs that have HDMI ARC or Optical audio output.

Q: Does the sounder turn on and off with the TV or do I need to do it separately each time?
A: Yes, it will.
submitted byBose Support - 4 years agoBrand expertA: Hi, JerryS! Regarding your question about the Bose TV Speaker Bluetooth Soundbar: When connected to the television using HDMI or a Digital Optical cable, the unit will power on and off with your television. If connected using a 3.5mm auxiliary audio cable you'll have to manually power on this Bose. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact MyTGTtech at 877-698-4883 every day, between 7am-11pm CST.
submitted byRobert - 4 years agoTarget expert supportA: When connected to hdmi or optical it will turn on witth your tv. HOWEVER, the soundbar does automatically power off on it’s own and when it does you have manually turn back on the speaker. For example, if you are watching something and pause the video for a while the soundbar will auto power off eventually and you have use the Bose remote, app, physically press the power button on soundbar to turn it back on to connect again.
