The Bose TV Speaker Bluetooth Soundbar is a small soundbar that clarifies speech and improves overall TV sound. Designed with simplicity in mind, a single connection to your TV via an optical audio cable (included) or an HDMI™ cable (sold separately) has you up and running in no time. And at just over 2 inches tall, this TV Speaker is small enough to fit just about anywhere. Small LED lights on the front turn on and/or change color when certain features are enabled. The Bose TV Speaker Bluetooth Soundbar comes with its own remote. And on it, you can enable Dialogue Mode™ to further elevate center vocals, pair your Bluetooth® device to wirelessly stream your favorite music or podcast, or add a bass boost for extra depth.   • A: Solo 5 has no HDMI connectivity. You can only connect it to your TV with optical cable or 3.5mm audio cable. This unit has HDMI connectivity. HDMI-ARC and HDMI-CEC allow you to connect and control the soundbar and other devices through the TV remote via the HDMI connection, without the need for having and programming a universal remote.

I bought this hoping to improve dialogue on my tv. It has lived up to expectations. l was able to set it up to be controlled by my Tivo remote. Sound bar turns on and off with the TV. Now I can hear dialogue and my likes that she is no longer translating for me!

Hello, Thanks for your feedback. This doesn't sound normal for our products. I'd recommend checking your connections, make sure they're secure. HDMI ARC is the best connection type offered by the TV speaker, but Optical is also great. If you're using an analog connection (AUX) I'd recommend checking the cable; check it's connected securely at both ends, and maybe try another cable if you can. Connection ossues

Great sound but I constantly experience connection issues. I connect the speaker to the tv using an optical cable but two white lights slowly blink along with the sound making it go on and off every five minutes!!! This happens at least every five minutes. I purchased this back in August 2023 and had this issue but it went away. It’s now February 2024 and now the issue returned and it won’t stop. I had to unplug the speaker and wait for the replacement optical cord that Bose customer service is sending to me so I can try and see if that works. The HDMI cable I have does not work as well. Apparently this is a common issue. I wish I would’ve known about this prior to purchasing it. It’s out of the return window so I am now stuck with this speaker trying to troubleshoot it myself.

Hello, Sorry to hear your soundbar isn't staying powered on for you. As I'm sure you can imagine that's not normal behavior so we'd want to assess why that is happening. I'd recommend checking that the power cord is free of damage and securely attached to the back of the unit, that it's connected to a good outlet/extension cord. If the speaker isn't losing power, but just cutting out from the TV, I'd suggest checking the cables are free of damage, also. Buyer Beware

The speaker sounds great when its working. I have had two speakers go bad. First one was two days after buying it, so I returned it and got a new one. The speaker runs hot, even when not in use. I called Bose and a person on the line told me this was normal for this speaker. About 5 m I months later, the second one stopped working. The sound would cut out. It was still under the 1 year warranty, so Bose is going to repair the speaker. I now have to wait for about 5 weeks to get it back. It's just so disappointing that such well know brand delivers a bad product.

I found this online and I liked the price. But the best part of all is the great sound I’m getting now! I had a B&O soundbar that was too large, and I still had trouble hearing the TV. I’m really so happy the new Bose. I have a small travel speaker I take on vacations, and my Noise Canceling Earphones I use on every flight. I’m sticking with Bose from now on.
