Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Height

    Have your child stand in front of the fridge.Mark the top of the head with a magnet. Measure a straight line from floor to magnet.

  • Chest

    Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

    With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

  • Hip

    Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

    They fit great, and the bright colors were as desired. Unfortunately once the weather warmed up and we finally used them, they essentially became see through once they were completely wet. In the back and the front. That’s not really appropriate for multiple reasons and my son won’t be able to wear these now and we’ll have to get him another pair of trunks. Buyers beware!

    Great hybrid shorts for water

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Material is like a soft board short, but really soft enough for swimming. Lining is soft too. No pockets and minimalist design. Wide elastic on waistband with drawstring. These shorts in XS fit Yun well. He’s almost 4 and 38” 37 lbs (3t/4t pull ups). Only downside is the green hue. Very bright but red tone is safer in water.

I usually prefer more muted colors, but I actually like how bright these are, I think they will definitely help me easily find my son at (or in) the pool! They are true to size (my 7 year old fits in a small as usual), and the drawstring gives good extra sizing control, too. No worries about suddenly losing them in the water lol! 10/10!

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the perfect addition to you kiddo’s summertime wardrobe! My son is between a size medium and large. I ordered a size large (just so my son can grow into it) and I would say this fits true to size. I really like the bright colors - perfect for NOT blending in with the pool water! These swim trunks are also nice because the waistband is super soft (not itchy at all) and it’s an easy in and off for getting in and out of (for emergency bathroom breaks!).

They are super bright, which I love it. Always makes it easier to find my kid at the pool or on the beach when they have something bright on my son typically wears a size 10 to 12 and we ordered these swimming trunks in a size large they fit him well

    Boys neon green swim trunks

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased these boy swim trunks by cat and Jack in the neon green color for my son in a size 8. My son is 4’5” and weighs 67 pounds. He wears a size 8 in shorts and swimsuits. While I like the bright color of the swimsuit to spot him easily, they are very thin and very see through when they get wet.

    Neon green boys swim trunks

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased these cat and jack swim trunks for my son who is about 4 feet 4 inches tall and weighs approximately 65 pounds. His normal size at the moment is an 8-8/10. I got these in the size 8 and they fit him well. I did like the bright neon color so he can be spotted easily but they do seem a little thin and I worry about them being see through when wet.
