Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Height

    Have your child stand in front of the fridge.Mark the top of the head with a magnet. Measure a straight line from floor to magnet.

  • Chest

    Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

    With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

  • Hip

    Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

    Cheap material

    We had the size 4 which we loved but since he was outgrowing them I just thought we’d get the next size up. We ordered the exact same brand/style/design just the next size up and I instantly noticed the quality of fabric is no longer soft and cottony but instead a synthetic rough feel. Pretty disappointing.

    My kiddo just outgrew his 3T shorts, but he can't even take these off without help. No chance he gets them on independently! Well made and good for really slender kids who need functional drawstrings, so I gave it two stars despite being useless for our family. And yes, I measured his waist before purchasing.     Some came the wring size!

    These are adorable but I didn’t realize until my son had been wearing them that some were the wrong size and way too big for my son! (Some were the correct size six, some were size 8) so maybe check before washing them all?
