Book Synopsis

In Calling All Waymakers, business industry leader DeWayne Ables equips highly successful executives and business leaders who have reached the top but still feel lost to find their purpose, redefine success through significance, and multiply their influence by helping others find their way.

You're working hard. You're building a career, solving problems, leading people, and achieving things you once only hoped for.

So why do you still feel like there's more?

A life that means something. Work that matters. A purpose bigger than your position. An impact that continues long after you've moved on. Perhaps the path you're searching for isn't a path someone else has already created. Perhaps you're meant to pioneer it.

In Calling All Waymakers, Pioneer iQ founder DeWayne Ables draws on twenty-five years of developing and equipping thousands of leaders to help you discover the greater purpose behind your experiences, your leadership, and the people you've been entrusted to impact.

At the heart of the book is the Waymaker's Compass, a practical framework built on five pillars: Purpose, Platform, Places, People, and Potential Impact.

Through real stories, hands-on exercises, and hard-won insight, you'll learn how to stop following someone else's path, start pioneering your own, and help the people you lead find theirs.

You'll discover how to:

  • Uncover the unique purpose you were created for
  • Recognize where you're already positioned to serve others
  • Identify the places and people who need what only you can offer
  • Measure your impact by the difference you make, not the title you hold
  • Navigate the forks, missed turns, and dead ends that can throw you off course

Are you willing to take the first step? The world doesn't need more people waiting to be shown the way. It needs WAYMAKERS.

Will you pioneer it?

About the Author

DeWayne Ables is the founder and President of Pioneer iQ and author of Calling All Waymakers. For more than twenty-five years, he has walked alongside the people who design and build America, helping owners and executives become the leaders their people--and their organizations--need them to be.

Along the way, DeWayne recognized a problem hiding in plain sight: the design and construction industry had become exceptional at developing technical experts, but far less intentional about preparing those same people to lead people, teams, and businesses.

That conviction became the catalyst for Pioneer iQ and a growing movement to change how--and why--leaders lead: moving beyond projects and profit toward people and purpose, and empowering leaders to help people understand how deeply they are needed and the impact they can have.

Through this work, DeWayne developed the Pioneer Method, a leadership framework and operating system that equips Pioneering Leaders to develop leaders at every level, build purpose-driven companies and high-performing teams, and navigate changing markets with clarity.

A national instructor for AGC, ACEC, DBIA, and SMACNA, DeWayne and the Pioneer iQ team have served more than 500 design and construction companies across the United States.

Today, his calling is bigger than developing better leaders. It is helping develop a generation of Waymakers--leaders willing to pioneer their own path and help others find theirs.
