I love this book and so does my 4 year old. Did you know it's based on a true story? The authors are incredible parents and advocates.

Way toooo young of audience it’s geared towards

I bought this book on Drive Up even though the info about the story is missing on Target. The artwork is beautifully illustrated and the two other reviews are positive, so I went for it. The story is about ftm transgenderism. It's written in a way that is easy for a child to grasp and depicts how families and communities as a whole should accept people as they are. My focus for my 1 year old's library doesn't include certain subjects yet, but if you're wanting a book to introduce this topic, this one is a good start.

A wonderful book that is well written. Calvin is a beautiful story that exemplifies a supportive family. Every library (home, school, and local) should have a copy.
