Cholula Original is balanced, tangy, a little savory, with a warm kick that enhances your food instead of taking it over. The biggest benefit is how versatile it is. I use it on eggs, tacos, pizza, avocado toast, soups, rice bowls, pretty much everything. The heat level is perfect for daily use, you feel it, but you can add a generous amount without ruining your meal. I also love the bottle design, it pours cleanly and looks great on the table. Would I buy it again? Absolutely, I already keep a backup bottle in the pantry so I never run out. Would I recommend it to friends or family? 100%. Especially if you want flavor first, not just burn. It's the one I will suggest people start with.

It's not fiery, it's kind of tangy and bright, like vinegar and a little salt with that chili flavor sitting in the background. Put it on eggs, tacos, popcorn, honestly almost anything. You can dump a lot on without it burning your face off, which is the point for me. If you're looking for real heat, though, this isn't it. You'll have to add something else. And the vinegar can hit a little sharp if you taste it straight from the bottle. The wooden top is cute and pours easy, but the glass feels fragile. Overall? Solid everyday sauce.
