A: Great question! Crayola Children's Chalk is softer chalk made of plaster of paris. This type of chalk is not dustless and not recommended for use on high quality chalkboards. Hope this helps!

Q: Description says "safe & non toxic" , isn't it made from plaster of paris? Plaster of paris is toxic if ingested, if a toddler puts this chalk in their mouth it is not safe and non toxic, correct???

The blue chalk stains everything it manages to come into contact with! I’m not talking directly drawing on something with it- even the dust or slightly brushing something against it stains it. I’ve even tried running it through a bleach cycle and the blue is permanently stained!

Crayola multicolor chalk provide vivid colors and they make a good product. Unfortunately, the chalk I received weren't packed very well and caused the chalk to bounced around inside the delivery box - since most of the chalk were broken.
