Book Synopsis

Take a dark descent into a world of supernatural evil! Explore true horrors of sinister spirits, ominous ghosts, angry souls, menacing monsters, malicious demons, and cursed creatures in this collection of the malevolent paranormal!

Sometimes the monsters are monsters -- swimming the murky waters of Loch Ness, stalking their victims the streets of small town America, or hunting innocents across the desolate British moors. At other times, the darkness lies within the human soul itself -- the falsely accused who were executed for witchcraft in Salem, those hounded to their graves (and beyond) by cruel pursuers, or those cursed by all forms of vile spirits. Then there are the devils and demons lurking in the darkness, capable of possessing and tormenting the living.

Master storyteller and seasoned paranormal investigator Richard Estep presents sinister hordes of evil in Dark Spirits: Monsters, Demons, and Devils. This fright-filled read spans the darkest realms of the paranormal, including ...

Shapeshifters such as the menacing Skinwalkers of native mythology and ravenous, slavering werewolves

Dark and evil curses, from the curse of Superman and Steven Spielberg's Poltergeist to the tomb of Egypt's pharaoh Tutankhamun

"Richard [Estep] takes you down the dark forbidden hallways of the unknown. ... [There's] a smorgasbord of supernatural stories in this book ... and some more creepy stories that will give you goosebumps. I had to keep the lights on while reading this book. Be prepared to shake and shiver!" --Paul Dale Roberts, Paranormal Underground

"Dark Spirits covers a full spectrum of high strange accounts ... [a] good number of them are downright nightmarish. The book promises to deliver authenticated tales of "monsters, aliens, and a panoply of weird phenomena," and it indeed delivers. ... Though best to be read in the light of day, Dark Spirits is nonetheless both entertaining and educational. That is if you want to peak behind the curtain of Oz and are the least bit curious about eyewitness accounts of the deep weird zones of the unexplained." --Alternative Perceptions magazine

"Throughout history, most cultures have believed in curses; the idea that a dark and harmful influence can be placed on another person, an object, or a place. This even extends to specific enterprises and the making of a motion picture such as The Exorcist, The Omen or The Twilight Zone. Curses are usually place deliberately, with the full intention of causing harm. There is a school of thought that cursing a specific individual can be more dangerous to the person inflicting the curse than it can be to the intended recipient." --Haunted Magazine

""Dark Spirits: Monsters, Demons, and Devils" explores the shadowy corners of folklore. ... The book offers a compelling blend of historical research, personal anecdotes, and chilling tales. ... [H]e explores a diverse array of dark beings. These range from classic demons and devils to lesser-known monsters and folkloric creatures. ... His engaging writing style captivates readers.
