Q: Approximately how thick is this topper? Do you need a mattress cover to place over it, or can a deep sized sheet go directly over it?

Soft and Stays in Place
Incredibly soft and easy to cradle your entire body. I sank down into blissful sleep and slept all night! Feels like you’re sleeping in a cloud. Stays put too!

Not as advertised
I searched long and hard to find a mattress topper for our pullout couch. I wanted something machine washable that did not have anchor straps or a skirt. I thought this was it! The website said machine wash and dry. So imagine my disappointment when I pulled it out of the bag only to see a giant tag saying "DO NOT MACHINE WASH". It is decently comfortable but super bulky. I will probably keep it because I'm tired of looking but I am definitely disappointed. please update the item description/details

I needed something extra for comfort and happy that I purchased this. It is super soft and plushy but gives the right amount of support for my back.
