I recently purchased a Disney eGift card and the process felt far more complicated than it needs to be. There are multiple emails (receipt, confirmation, gift card delivery), and if you don’t have the recipient’s email, transferring the card requires navigating to an external site and manually sharing tracking links. The link-sharing method isn’t intuitive and can easily be mistaken for a product page instead of the actual gift card. In today’s mobile-first world, a simpler system — similar to Apple Cash or peer-to-peer payment methods — would make this much more seamless. A direct “Send via text” option inside the app, without redirect links or multiple steps, would significantly improve the user experience. The gift card itself worked, but the process to deliver it felt unnecessarily complex.

Disappointing customer service
I ordered this gift card 12 hours in advance of a Disney trip with the intent of using it in the park. The website states that ecards are “usually” delivered within 4 hours; historically they’ve appeared in my inbox within minutes. For my latest order I waited over 20 hours and the ecard had not delivered. I called twice and both times were told to wait another 24 hours for the case to escalate. At that point I’ll be back home and unable to use the gift card as intended. Customer service was not interested in helping, not offered adequate solutions. I’d not recommend buying e-gift cards from Target.

Bought this e-gift card and it was supposed to be emailed within 4 hours. It's 28 hrs later and I still don't have it. I've called twice and gotten no real answer other than, "It's in the way". Refused to give me a refund. Looks like I'm out $100. I wouldn't trust Target to deliver e-gift cards. Never got it, nor was I refunded.

Do not buy!! Still have not received my egiftcard after multiple attempts contacting customer service asking for it to be sent. Keep getting a runaround. Will have to call and speak to someone else or a third party like another review states.
