Q: Is door measurement 13 inch X 13 inches? Or if it is "made to fit 13 inch square cubes" since sometimes cubes are measured frm outside to outside wall. I need to make sure the door is 13 X 13 inches

A: The ACTUAL measurements are 13.5" inches. So if your cube is exactly 13" these will NOT FIT

A: Bought 4 of these for a BHG 13" cube shelf unit. Absolutely will NOT FIT all 13" cubes! My unit cube measures exactly 13" cubed. These inserts have an extra 1/2 rendering them too big.

These fit Brightroom cubes flawlessly and they have held up so well after years of wear and tear. They're better than the IKEA doors for Kallax. Please bring them back 😩

So disappinted.
If I could give zero stars I would. It does not work. The door does not rest flat as it should. The inserts are not thick enough, and so the door does not lay flush when it is shut it goes into the shelf. Don’t waste your money the IKEA kallax series is far more superior. The material it’s made of feels and looks cheap.

Box says 13" in big print on the front. Actual measurements are 13.5" rendering them useless for a 13" cube.

Love how it looks
Looks great! Easy to install until you get to adjusting the hinges, then it’s a game of patience and trying until you get it right. Looks great when it’s on, though I did add rubber stoppers so it wouldn’t slam as hard and felt dots around all of the exposed screws on the inside so nothing got scratched sliding in and out. It would have been nice if this included another panel to cover the back opening of the unit so the inside doesn’t gather dust. I’m planning to DIY it by attaching a piece of cardboard covered in wrapping paper so no dust gets in and the inside will have a cute back wall when I open the door.

Super cute idea. However – and this is a huge annoyance for me – one of the dang handles’ threads start too deep so it can’t be used!! This seems like a poor QC thing. Unfortunately I already had it all the way installed and these things are permanent fixtures.

OK. No other options so...
Looks cheap. Mediocre non-uniform white finish. Needs a thicker or another white coat/layer. The paint finish is more in alignment with the much cheaper cube shelf Target sells. It also doesn’t create a full enclosure on the shelf. The back of the shelf remains open after installing this door kit. More of an oversight on my part I supposed. I thought this kit was similar to the Ikea Kallax Shelf system I previously owned which encloses the cube with the door kit. Also some of the screw holes were not piloted/pre-drilled properly in one of the kit I bought.

Forget This
I just went through the process of attempting to install this, and instead I now have a shelf marred with holes from the attempt and the door was unusable. Instead of just screwing the hinges directly into the inside of the shelf, it makes you screw to side panels in place to serve as guides and something for the door to close against, and if something goes wrong screwing the sidepanel for the hinges on, it's easy to force one of those screws out of the particle board and make it so you *can't* attach the hinges and use the door. If you get lucky on the first try that the particle board doesn't give out on you when you screw it in place, I'm sure it's fine, but if anything goes wrong the fact that you're working with particle board makes it completely and utterly unrecoverable. I'll be returning the door and just having to deal with the fact that there are ugly holes on my shelf that will likely be weak points for breakdown in a few years. Thanks.

I wish I could even install these to see how flimsy they are with regard to other comments, but they don’t even align correctly with my 13 inch cube bookcase??? I don’t believe my cube cake is from Threshold, so maybe that’s where the issue lies, but they’re obviously too large for my unit. Sadly have to return all six I purchased.

I was nervous to buy these after reading reviews, but was desperate to hide the clutter in my cubbies. I have no regrets! Yes, it is not crazy great quality, but it is exactly what I expected from prefab furniture. I attached it to my threshold cubbies and had no issues with sturdiness. I will say, it is difficult to get them all lined up exactly the same, but I’m not too worried about it. Will be buying 4 more for the bottom cubbies!
