[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I gifted my mom one of these thread holders because she had been struggling with a plastic one she had. She loved this one. The thread holder comes in three parts. The base is quite heavy as it's made of metal, but that does a great job with staying flat as you work. The other two parts are metal bars. The one with a loop to put the thread and work, and the one that goes in the middle of the metal circle base to prevent the thread you're using from moving, ripping, rolling, etc.

I have just moved into a new sewing room with much more space and this cone holder is a lifesaver. It is so sturdy. I am happy that I can now use the more economically priced cones of thread to see with. This cone holder makes it so easy.

Easy to assemble (just stick rod in and tighten with screwdriver), plop spool on the base, thread through rod and sewing machine... Then let it roar! The base is weighted so it will not shift around the table, the thread does not get caught on anything (within reason), and the spool stays stationary.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dritz Cone Thread Holder is very heavy duty! The base has some heft, so this definitely won’t tip over from my sewing machine pulling the thread. The metal thread guide is made from sturdy metal. It has no chance of bending. It is a nice height above the base to keep the thread out of the way. I am beyond satisfied with Dritz thread holder.
