Q: How long before it should be replaced?

submitted by need2no - 3 years ago
  • A: The tag says replace every 30 days. Mine is going back tomorrow as I will not be repurchasing a back brush every month.

    submitted byAndrea M - 3 years ago
  • A: Hello. Thank you for reaching out about the EcoTools Bristle Back Brush. Bath brushes are stored in a humid environment that promotes the growth of fungi and bacteria. After each use, rinse and hang to air dry. EcoTools recommends replacing our bath brush as needed for best results. If you see damage to the handle or bristles, please replace for best use. Thanks!

  • A: You should be replacing any and all of these products because of bacteria growth and damage to bristles after scrubbing. It doesn't matter if you buy a different brand. You should be replacing it

Save your money. This brush is garbage. Buy the bass NATURAL brush.

I would rate this brush a 0 if that choice was available. Save your money. Buy the Bass body brush # 912-583--83. The Bass brush is worth the money. The echo brush doesn't absorb soap, due to synthetic bristles. It also cracked too, just like other customer. I only had this for 3 months and it cracked. I've previously owned the Bass brush and it lasted 2 yrs.

Unappealingly Moldy

I am so disappointed in this brush. While the wooden handle is extremely sturdy, the bristles on the actual brush are super soft. I never felt like I was truly scrubbing my back, it was more like smearing the body wash around. The very worst part is that I’ve had this item for less than a month and it’s moldy. I thought I was seeing things, but upon closer inspection there is definitely a dark discoloration at the base of the bristles. I will not be using it anymore.

Almost perfect!

I like this EcoTools Bath Bristle brush but it does have one, small flaw: the handle gets awfully slippery in the shower due to the soapy water. I've ordered some sports handle tape like the kind they use on tennis racquets and will wrap the handle to make it less slippery.

Poor Quality Bath Brush

This was a Christmas gift. The wooden part that holds the bristles developed a large crack 3 months later, despite never dropping it. It rests outside the shower on a hook to dry between uses. Poor quality. I have wooden cooking spoons that have outlasted this by years.

Quality Wood Brush

Very comfortable handle, and quality bristles. The wood material is hard and waterproof, and the brush is long enough to reach all of my back.

I recommend

I buy back brushes often. Not because they wear out really, but just because I want a fresh one once in a while. This one has great bristles. Not too stiff. Wood handle makes brush easy to grip and hold on to. Does not get slippery when it gets soapy. Will purchase again.

Came with the wood already partially split, right up to the bristles so they were already starting to fall out. Poor construction means this lasted only two uses before I gave up.

Ergonomics nice, but quality poor

Ergonomics nice, but quality poor - wood crack and mold fast. It’s a nice sturdy brush when you get it, but watch out for those fine line cracks in the wood because I noticed it at the top of the brush head on arrival but it was so minor, then touch of water and a day or so of use the crack just seemed to open bigger. And I realize these items are meant to be replaced with time but light green mold is starting to show on wood at brush hairs. I do hang near window and rinse and flick dry after use so there is no moisture buildup, but it still happened and so quickly!
