Bring back the OG recipe!!!

I LOVED the old recipe! It was the only bone broth that I actually enjoyed sipping. I have since moved on to another brand - but would switch back to EPIC if they could bring back the OG recipes for those of us who really loved it. Maybe have 2 different versions of the most popular broths? The OG and the MILD. Just a suggestion. :)

Exceeded my expectations

Delicious broth! As a teacher, I wasn’t going to consider regular deliveries due to cost, but it’s so tasty and nutritious, I’m going to reconsider! Especially since it seems to really be helping my chronic illness.

Love the change!!

I used to buy this every now and then, but I really couldn’t stand the old recipe’s sour taste. I purchased it again recently, and to my pleasant surprise the recipe has changed and the sour, acid taste is gone!! Finally I can sip and enjoy!!

Disappointed in the new recipe

I used to love the old recipe which had a great taste and was easy to drink, but the new recipe does not taste good. Also, the texture has changed and it is now more like a thick gel. I wish Epic would have kept the recipe the same.

Good to the last drop.

I was sick with COVID-19 and I wasn’t eating. So my new daughter in law sent me a six pack of this broth. It turned my apatite on and I started to get better because I was able to stomach any other foods.

Best store-bought bone broth by far.

This is, by far, the best option for bone broth unless you make it yourself the "correct" way. It gels in the fridge (their other chicken flavor didn't gel in the fridge for me), which indicates there's plenty of gelatin, which is what you want for gut healing, plumping skin, and other benefits.

This is my go to for broth. Epic never fails and I'm so over the moon this is back on stock. It took awhile though. The packaging was carefully thought out and my broth came in pristine condition!

One of the best; mixed view on recipe change

I was a big fan of the old recipe in the opaque jars - I loved the acidic bite. New recipe seems more bland, less unique vs. standard stocks and cheaper bone broth brands. I will add lemon or more apple cider vinegar when preparing next time.

Recipe Change?

Here's the thing: I LOVED the acidity of this bone broth. It was the sole reason I purchased EPIC out of all the options. However, I recently tried a version with the new packaging and found it to be quite plain, void of the delicious "spike" that I love so much. It's also quite gelatinous now, which was my first tip that something had changed. My 5-star rating is for the original version, and I'd probably rate this new version a 3.

I have been enjoying the chicken broth for many months and loved the delicate taste I just received my last order and the taste had changed. I was concerned that something was wrong with it. The taste was too strong and very salty. I called the company to find they had changed the formula. I don’t like new taste and will not reorder. Disappointing

Bone Broth

I bought the Savory Chicken Bone broth (6 pack) because the local grocery store where I live, stopped carrying it. It is the ONLY real, legit bone broth that I've tried that I truly love! I've had brands from natural stores, large grocery chains...but there is nothing better than Epic Bone Broth....I also enjoy their meaty snack sticks, especially the Smoked Maple Salmon. I enjoy sipping on the broth throughout my day instead of coffee. It has so many health benefits, also. Thank you for this fantastic product! My next order will be the Turkey Cranberry Sage. Mmmmm

Unsettling, Sour taste

I was surprised by the flavor of this. Very sour! Tasted as if it had gone bad. Sad that I spent money on this. Is it supposed to taste sour? included packaging picks in case it has something to do with this batch.

This is not an uncommon description of our bone broths, which stems from the fact that we add lactic acid as a natural preservative. Some consumers’ will pick up on the sour note more than others. Good news is we are already renovating the bone broth line in hopes of remedying this exact issue and are very close to launching a more mild, but still robust tasting bone broth.
