Q: I have a TV cabinet that I must set my TV in, but the TV needs to sit about 5" above the cabinet, no more, no less. This is NOT a wallmount. Will this raise my TV only 5"?

  • A: It’s adjustable, so probably. You might not get exactly 5” but probably close. It’s a nice stand, note that the base is pretty deep so just make sure you have room for that. Should fit on a normal cabinet no problem

    Poor construction

    Took the time to put this together and when I mounted the tv onto the stand it tipped forward and looked like it was falling over. After inspecting the stand and a little disassembly I found that the weld on the upright had failed. I took and weighed the TV and it was only 20.2 pounds so it was well within the weight range of ths stand. Poor craftsmanship. I cannot recommend anyone to buy this.

    Specs is what u need

    This is an older heavy 55" Sony Bravia. I bought this TV in 2001, so its a beast. Probably 60 Lbs. I cant get rid of it. It wont die. No one seems to share pics or specs with details about size, Vesa, and height setting. This is all super important. But I get it, its Target. If it looks cute, buy it. This is a 55", 300 x 300 Vesa, This is the HIGHEST setting possible (without modification). About 10.5" from base to bottom of TV. Heavy Older TV. With that said, this stand is a tank. No strap used and the TV barely moves. I was considering the leg style stands, but I dont trust them. I like a flat center stable base. Id have no issues using this on a bigger modern TV. Once my 25 yr old monster dies, Ill probably swap this stand over to a bigger, lighter TV. Great stand. Got it on sale. Buy it.

    Doesnt hold 88lbs.

    Definitely NOT for heavier TVs. States can hold up to a max weight of 88lbs which is FALSE! I don’t ever write negative reviews, but was extremely disappointed with this. I was given a 52” LG plasma flat screen tv, it’s total weight shows around 60lbs, so this mount should have been able to accommodate it. It immediately started lifting the screws out of the base plate and bending the support bar. We had to immediately take it off before it collapsed over or snapped it. We were able to salvage the actual mount to be used for a newer and lighter television, but are super disappointed and now in search of another option for this current one,

    This is soooo sturdy i have an older 60” that was once on the wall mounted but we moved so we had to get it. It’s heavy but sturdy. Comes with a stap to mount to the call incase of tip over. 10/10

    Great option

    This is a great option instead of mounting a bracket above your fireplace. My home is old my walls are plaster and lathe did not want to start disturbing the look incase someday the tv gets removed. Assembly was very easy.
