Works great! Save some money and get this.
I was really on the fence about buying this due to some of the reviews, but I was on a tight budget so I gave it a shot. I’m glad I did, because as long as you follow the instructions the thing works perfectly! I think the part that trips people up is that you have to calibrate it EACH time you are using it. Meaning that you cannot calibrate it one time out of the packaging and think that it’s going to continue to work every time you use it on the same wall. If you calibrate before each use, it will work perfectly and save you some money.

Don't waste your time or money.
I’d put 0 stars if I could. It would locate a stud for half a second and when I try to go back over it, the stud suddenly disappears.

Hello Breanna. We are sorry to hear about your experience with the stud finder. It is frustrating when a tool does not reliably detect studs. Electronic stud finders can sometimes give inconsistent readings if they detect changes in wall density from pipes, wiring, or variations in drywall thickness. Moving the finder too quickly or tilting it while scanning can also cause false readings. We recommend scanning slowly and keeping the device level. Easy stud
The stud finder is easy to set up and use. I was able to figure out with the sound and lights when a beam was found to place the anchor to hang the painting.
