This is meant to help older people with screwing in screws for little projects. This is not meant to help go through wood, it will strip the screws

Hello CM. Thank you for sharing your feedback on the 8V Screwdriver with 2 Bits. This model is designed as a compact, light-duty driver intended for small household tasks such as assembling furniture, installing cabinet hardware, tightening fixtures, or working with pre-drilled pilot holes. It is not engineered to function as a high-torque drill or to drive larger fasteners directly into solid wood without preparation. Driving screws into hardwood or dense material without pre-drilling can lead to stripped screw heads or reduced performance, especially with compact 8V tools. For projects involving thicker lumber or structural applications, a higher-voltage drill/driver with adjustable clutch settings would be more appropriate. We appreciate your feedback and understand how important it is to match the tool to the task. If you would like guidance on selecting a model better suited for wood projects, we would be glad to help. Greenworks Customer Success can be reached either using the online chat function, on Greenworks Tools page, accessible by clicking “Chat Now” in the bottom corner of your screen, Chat with a Live Agent or by calling 1-888-909-6757.

Dont buy!!!
I would never recommend. I brought it to help me build a small dresser and it stripped most of the nails. This is like a toy for kids. It doesn’t really work.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the 8V Screwdriver with 2 Bits, Evelyn. We are sorry to hear that the unit did not perform as expected while assembling your dresser. An 8V compact screwdriver is typically designed for light-duty fastening tasks such as tightening cabinet hardware, assembling flat-pack furniture with pre-threaded fasteners, or driving small wood screws. When used with longer screws, dense materials, or without properly pre-drilled pilot holes, this may result in cam-out or stripped fasteners, especially if higher torque is required for the application. Ensuring the correct bit type and size is used for the fastener head, along with applying steady axial pressure during operation, can also help reduce the likelihood of stripping. That said, we understand how frustrating this experience must have been when trying to complete a project. If you believe the tool may not be operating within expected performance parameters, we encourage you to contact our customer success team so we can review your options under warranty and help determine an appropriate resolution. They can be reached either using the online chat function, on Greenworks Tools page, accessible by clicking “Chat Now” in the bottom corner of your screen, Chat with a Live Agent or by calling 1-888-909-6757.

Small and convenient, works well
We purchased this for assembling furniture -it is lighter weight, works very well, and is easy for a newbie to use. We are very happy with it.
