Great design!
I bought this as a gift after my brother introduced me to his. It was a hit! For me, the winning combination is the sleek design, and an insulated French press that keeps your delicious cuppa’ joe hot!

Love this French Press! The perfect size, easy to use and the quality. So glad to have less plastic and it fits in my kitchen nicely. My coffee stays hot all morning.

I love this part. I’ve had it before, but the wooden top rotted off and I could no longer use the pot. I tried to get a replacement but was unable to without the sale receipt. It was a gift to me. So I bought another one. I think you need to tell people not to get that wooden top wet at all overtime it will get rotted. I never put it in the dishwasher, but I had put it in my sink to wash it. you can’t get that top wet.

Good looks, good filter
Got this asa gift, the aesthetics are really nice, good construction. The filter is amazing, with appropriately sized grounds (even too small of grounds!) the filter keeps grit out. Couple criticisms: doesn't keep as warm as long as you might think but it is long enough. The marker for how much coffee you should add is the same color as the material inside and it makes it terribly difficult to see.

Good product, slight let down with plastic parts :/
Really liked the press, the container is good quality and well insulated. However, a little disappointed that the cover and part that holds the screen is plastic. Was really hoping for all metal parts particularly the materials that will be in constant contact with hot liquid and coffee. For the price, I feel like including a metal insulated lid and metals discs for the screen could be easily facilitated.

Streamlined mornings and delicious brew
Makes delightful brewed coffee. Transformed the same bag of beans between my previous brew method and the French press. Easy to clean if done right away. Much faster in the mornings compared to pour overs for a clean brewed coffee. The brew itself isn’t as clear as a pour over, but the taste is immensely clean and enhances the beans themselves. One of the best French presses I’ve used. Also very easy to make larger quantities for a group.

Happy with the Clara
I have used the Clara French Press several times now. I was reluctant to buy it because my experience with other French Presses and the amount of sludge they leave in the cup. The claims of reduced sludge are true, this makes a great cup of coffee easily and leaves just a small amount of fine coffee grounds in the cup, but totally manageable. The coffee stays hot and is easy to clean when you're done.

I like it
It's a French press, it's not magic. But it does everything it should, and does it well. It's built incredibly well. Doesn't feel cheap. It certainly looks amazing, that's a big part of what you are paying for. It filters well, no sludge yet. Cleans up nice. Pours smooth. The only thing I wish was different is that the lid is plastic. I paid more for the walnut, thinking those were the only plastic parts, only to find that the lid is still plastic.

Disappointing, not worth the price, handle becomes loose after a few uses
The Clara French Press is such a disappointment; it really let me down. The handle became loose after a few uses (see images). I've also noticed that if the lid is even a little loose, liquid seeps out of the press. It's pretty frustrating. I don't have any complaints about the filtration, the mesh is pretty nice. I really wanted to enjoy this product since the electric kettle I bought has been serving me well, but the handle being loose on my french press has been driving me crazy. I've never had a product break down on me this quickly before.

Without question, the best French press out there
Without question the best French press I have ever owned. Having owned at least 5 other brands and styles, I can confidently say that the Clara is the best out there. No residue, no coffee grinds in your coffee, it stays warm after pouring, it’s incredibly easy to clean, not one coffee grind gets stuck in the press, and it pours and amazing cup of coffee. I look forward to my Clara French press every morning. Thank you Fellow!

Love it (not the spoon)
I love it! It's the ideal French press because it keeps your coffee hot for longer. This is particularly helpful when two kids never let you drink your coffee. The one downside is the shaking spoon; it's of inferior quality. By the second time I used it, it turned old-looking, with spindles coming out.

Best French Press of the many I’ve owned
I’m very old on a “small” fixed income & have been French pressing coffee using glass, stainless & ceramic presses for half of my life. Without any reservation, I can say that this Fellow Clara press is the best I’ve ever owned. It is well designed & with good heat retention & I can actually taste the difference wherein this press out performs all of the others. It’s not just a looker. I suggest that you treat the wood handle & knob with something before using. I first used multiple coating of mineral oil or suggest something else (does not have to be food grade) because repeated washings can visually damage natural wood overtime. Otherwise, purchase this model without wood accents. Age brings knowledge through experience. So, heed my advice & you should be happy. I’m actually thrilled that I bit the bullet & splurged to recently purchase it. This one is sturdy & should last. Had it been available for sale decades ago, I wouldn’t have incrementally spent good money on broken glass carafe’s & cracked ceramic press parts. I took time to write this to help consumers & I do not enjoy writing surveys or reviews. Learn from my having done things the hard way & listening to those who only believe they’re helping others. I don’t lie, cheat or steal so be cognizant of my moral character & commonsense.

Would buy the Clara French Press Again!
I've only had my Clara French Press a very short time, and I'm still learning since it's my first French Press. My coffee has greatly improved since watching James Hoffman's YouTube video for making French Press coffee. This morning was my best cup to date using Intelligentsia Burundi Yandaro beans ground on the medium grind setting. I like that my coffee stays hot using James' directions due to the insulated walls of the Clara. It's easy to use, a quality product, and I would buy it again. I find that when I stir the crust after the first four minute wait, I don't need to remove any floating bits. They have already fallen down to the bottom. I'm very careful to pour the final brew just using the press as a strainer at the top of the Clara. I don't actually press the plunger down. I also reduced my beans from 30 g to 26 g today and the strength was fine. I have also used Intelligentsia El Diablo and Counter Culture La Golondrina beans with my Clara. Since I follow the James Hoffman technique, I do not need to use the wooden spoon at all, just the spoon I use to stir the crust after the first four-minute wait.

This is a great French Press
I have this just about a month now and love it! The design and construction are stellar. But what I love the most is the bean measurement and water measurement line. Makes life so simple! Also, it’s not glass, I can’t break it!
