  • A: Thank you for your question, Bh. All First Response pregnancy tests are qualitative, not quantitative. They are designed to detect the presence of hCG in urine. They do not determine the levels or amount of hCG in the urine sample. If there is any hCG in the urine sample, our tests will detect it. The Rapid Result test is 99% accurate at detecting typical pregnancy hormone levels from day of your missed period, while the Early Result test can be used to detect pregnancy 6 days before the day of a missed period. Because the Early Result test detects such low levels of hCG, it is possible that this test may give positive results even if you are not pregnant. As someone who's dealing with infertility, it doesn't help when these test give you false positives. Just tears and sadness at the end.

Do not buy! False test results

Never ever use these pregnancy tests! I had a missed miscarriage back in June and was trying again for a baby. For the last week every single day I was getting a faint line everyday! I went in for bloodwork and my OB said my HCG is one! Ab

Dont trust

Very disappointed. Gave me a false positive. I took 2 more and they were negative. My husband and I have been trying for a while and to see that line made us both cry happy tears only for it to not be true.

Not worth the box they come in

The first test did not work at all— the control line didn’t even show up. When I took the second test the next morning, it “worked” BUT the sample/result line was horizontal??? So obviously I had to count that one as defective as well. $7 later and my anxiety increased. The $1 tests at dollar general work way better. I understand not every test can be perfect, but it seems to be very common with these ones and that’s just unacceptable considering the sensitive circumstances.

not good anymore

no longer reliable. Used to be my go to test but on the $20 box i just bought, all 3 tests before i even peed on them had a faint line in the test portion of the stick. i used it and got my hopes up that i was pregnant and then tried another brand that was negative.

I bought a 2 pack and one of the tests was invalid. The other one gave me a false negative result. Turns out I was pregnant. Don't waste your money on these.

TWO False Positives!!

Thank you First Response, for the emotional roller coaster your inaccurate product has put me through. A complete waste of time, money, and hope. Two different false positives, both digital tests. Discontinue this product!

3 boxes of faulty tests !!

I bought this yesterday after getting 2 faint line the last two days. Only a white indent showed. I thought maybe that test was broken so tried a different one. All 3 tests had white lines. So I thought maybe I was testing early I’ll try digital this morning. Now they are stuck on the clock! Lots of wasted money to still not know any results.
