Q: Is the applicator plastic?

  • A: Thank you for your interest in Cora and all that we're doing to improve women's health globally. Currently, our applicators are made of a bioplastic material. We're working on introducing a more biodegradable option this year. We also have applicator free options available :)

  • A: This is a shame (and a sham) that this brand is trying to advertise that they are a healthier alternative- but they are still using PLASTIC! Plastic will take centuries to biodegrade- use cardboard!

  • A: STOP BEING ABLIST IN YOUR ANSWERS! Cora tampons are one of the ONLY disability friendly tampons on the market, and it is BECAUSE of their applicator style. We NEED that defined ridge at the end of the applicator to be able to grip it to insert/remove the applicator. Your eco-screaming is making disabled people's lives so unnecessarily hard. We have periods too.

  • A: Hi Lija, our tampon manufacturing has moved to China, though some older product from a previous supplier may still be in circulation at retail locations. The country of origin is printed on every box. Hope this helps!

Q: What do you recommend? My local store only sells, by regular and light tampons or regular and super tampons. My flow is only sometimes heavy, is a regular tampon from this brand enough for a heavy flow?

Great concept, but needs improvement

I wanted to love these bc I love the idea of a natural tampon, but this is not it. Unless you enjoy changing your tampon every hour and constantly worrying you’re going to bleed through, I’d pass. The applicator isn’t good… it’s nearly impossible to fully insert the tampon without ending up with gross hands. Great concept, stressful experience. 😂

All cotton and protection

I was so excited to try cora! 100 percent cotton and no chemicals, that is a major plus when i look for feminine products. It is compact and the applicator pulls out. Just make sure to pull it out all the way. I felt protected while wearing it, no pain and no leakage. Easy to use and comfortable. I will for sure buy again!

This didn’t absorb anything! My menstrual just stayed on the outside and my tampon slipped out into the toilet when I used the bathroom !!! No absorbency

It fits convenientl in a pocket.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am really impressed with Cora tampons! The packaging is beautiful, simple and thoughtfully designed. I especially love the pearl finished applicator, it feels smooth and makes insertion very easy and comfortable. As can be seen in the picture, the tampon itself is made with 100% organic cotton and absorbs really nicely without feeling bulky and uncomfortable. Overall, Cora has done a great job combining quality, comfort and thoughtful design. Definitely a product I would recommend!

Quality upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I happen to have a box of the older version of these tampons so you can see a side-by-side comparison. The new version is on the right. I would say that it’s definitely a quality upgrade. The material feels a lot softer and expands in a organic shape. I was able to use a tampon for three hours before having to change it and I didn’t have any leaks and I would say my flow was medium to heavy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately, these didn't work for me. I've never had much luck with extendable applicators and this one is no different. The part that you hold to steady the tampon is ergonomic but the part you plunge felt flimsy. I was unable to actually get the tampon to insert and I tried three times. I think it's an anatomy thing. If it had just a little extra length, I may be able to rate it higher

If I could give a less then 1 star review I would. Maybe the package of my product was old. But these are the worst tampons I have EVER used. I would say about half or more of them just didn’t work (push out). I took my time with the them and they just didn’t push out. I am so disappointed that I want my money back. So yeah that’s what I have to say about them. Unfortunately I have used these in the past and they were fine, but this time NO. I will never buy them again. So I know how they work. I have used them multiple times in the past but WHY WAS THIS WHOLE PACKAGE DEFECTED???? Never again!

Horrible applicator

This applicator SUCKS. Every time you go to insert, the clicking mechanism collapses. I’ve gone through so many that had to be thrown out instead of used due to the applicator malfunction.
