Q: Is the applicator plastic?

  • A: Thank you for your interest in Cora and all that we're doing to improve women's health globally. Currently, our applicators are made of a bioplastic material. We're working on introducing a more biodegradable option this year. We also have applicator free options available :)

  • A: STOP BEING ABLIST IN YOUR ANSWERS! Cora tampons are one of the ONLY disability friendly tampons on the market, and it is BECAUSE of their applicator style. We NEED that defined ridge at the end of the applicator to be able to grip it to insert/remove the applicator. Your eco-screaming is making disabled people's lives so unnecessarily hard. We have periods too.

  • A: Hi Lija, our tampon manufacturing has moved to China, though some older product from a previous supplier may still be in circulation at retail locations. The country of origin is printed on every box. Hope this helps!

Q: What do you recommend? My local store only sells, by regular and light tampons or regular and super tampons. My flow is only sometimes heavy, is a regular tampon from this brand enough for a heavy flow?

Awful flimsy applicators

Why did you change the applicators??? They are awful now. Also the packaging sheath is so tight you can’t fit a used tampon applicator back in before tossing it in the trash. Do you actually test changes with women before making them????

The new applicator is so bad. I end up having to throw away half the tampons because it doesn’t come out fully. Nothing more enraging during an already frustrating time of the month. Will never buy again.

Don't waste your money

Yeah your stick stinks. These things already cost enough to only have 30% of the box to be able to use. Guess I’m going back to the other brand. I really like this one better too. Nobody’s trying to lose that much money.

Terrible "improved" product

I use to love these tampons. The “updated” product is awful. I end up throwing out at least 1 of every 4 tampons because they do not move. You’re suppose to pull down a portion to “click” which I always do. Do not ever stash these in a purse for emergencies. You may be out of luck if it decides not to work.

Why did they ruin these?!

Have been a huge fan of Cora for some time. Was caught off guard to find they did a bait and switch on the design of these tampons. The package no longer opens easily and the applicator is not functional- it fell out before the click actually registered. Had to use multiple to actually make it work. Surely some consultant told them they could save a bunch of money by using less plastic and swapping materials, but they should have done usability trials with real consumers to see that they broke some of the key traits that made their product helpful and superior. This also makes me question if they downgraded the actual materials in the tampon… go back to the old ones please!

I was happy to receive this product because it is 100% organic. This can be hard to find when buying feminine products. I found these to be very comfortable and extremely easy to use. I would recommend these to everyone, but definitely young girls learning how to use tampons because they’re user friendly.
