Q: Is the applicator plastic?

  • A: Thank you for your interest in Cora and all that we're doing to improve women's health globally. Currently, our applicators are made of a bioplastic material. We're working on introducing a more biodegradable option this year. We also have applicator free options available :)

  • A: This is a shame (and a sham) that this brand is trying to advertise that they are a healthier alternative- but they are still using PLASTIC! Plastic will take centuries to biodegrade- use cardboard!

  • A: STOP BEING ABLIST IN YOUR ANSWERS! Cora tampons are one of the ONLY disability friendly tampons on the market, and it is BECAUSE of their applicator style. We NEED that defined ridge at the end of the applicator to be able to grip it to insert/remove the applicator. Your eco-screaming is making disabled people's lives so unnecessarily hard. We have periods too.

  • A: Hi Lija, our tampon manufacturing has moved to China, though some older product from a previous supplier may still be in circulation at retail locations. The country of origin is printed on every box. Hope this helps!

Q: What do you recommend? My local store only sells, by regular and light tampons or regular and super tampons. My flow is only sometimes heavy, is a regular tampon from this brand enough for a heavy flow?

Worst applicator

I used to love these but the new box I purchased 90% of the time the applicator doesn’t push the tampon out, it just stays in the applicator. Really annoying when I have to waste tampons, you might as well get the applicator free ones and use those.

USED to love these - the applicator is soooo bad now! Pretty sure they were not even tested before launching the new applicator. Wasted multiple because applicator wasnt working. Went back to my old organic brand and am much happier.

Used to love these. Loved that they were organic and easy to use UNTIL they decided to change the applicator and be like all the other tampon brands. They are soooooo faulty you end up wasting a good 3-5 before it actually works. You will literally break into a sweat trying to use this. They used to be so easy to use but not anyone. Now I have to find another brand and hope I love it like I did these

Actually love the new applicators

The new applicators are so much better. With the old applicators, you could barely push it all the way in. It’s so much easier with the smaller tip. You just have to make sure you pull the applicator all the way out until it clicks otherwise it won’t work. But seriously they are so much better. And as far as I know, these are the only 100% cotton organic tampons available at target, so the applicator isn’t that big of a deal.

Awful flimsy applicators

Why did you change the applicators??? They are awful now. Also the packaging sheath is so tight you can’t fit a used tampon applicator back in before tossing it in the trash. Do you actually test changes with women before making them????

Horrible "improvement"

Absolutely would not recommend these. The improved version made the tampon even worse than the last "improvement". They are aboit half the size of the original and the applicator, like other reviews have said, is terrible. Couldn't even get it all the way on without manual help. I vowed to find another tampon with the last update. This time, I will for sure. Shame on you for making this once great product even cheaper.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m really impressed with the Cora tampons. The quality is excellent specially because they’re made with 100% organic cotton and free chlorine, pesticides, fragrance. The package contains 16 tampons (a convenient amount) and also very comfortable to wear and the easy-grip compact applicator makes insertion much easier. I specially like the curved, textured grip because it gives you better control to hold. Overall the design feels modern, clean and practical and well thought out.

Would not recommend. Tried it once and never again. The applicator is always an issue. Having to throw away at least 6-10 out of the entire box. Very frustrating.

The new applicator is so bad. I end up having to throw away half the tampons because it doesn’t come out fully. Nothing more enraging during an already frustrating time of the month. Will never buy again.

Don't waste your money

Yeah your stick stinks. These things already cost enough to only have 30% of the box to be able to use. Guess I’m going back to the other brand. I really like this one better too. Nobody’s trying to lose that much money.

Terrible "improved" product

I use to love these tampons. The “updated” product is awful. I end up throwing out at least 1 of every 4 tampons because they do not move. You’re suppose to pull down a portion to “click” which I always do. Do not ever stash these in a purse for emergencies. You may be out of luck if it decides not to work.

Amazing leak protection

I wouldn’t trust it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I would never trust using this at all. I just got them in and my period is too light to use them right now. But, I opened it up and pushed on the applicator just to see what it would be like. when the applicator stick is pushed the entire way in, the cotton is barely coming out of the applicator when it should have been a full exposure like other brands. The only reason I was able to show what it looks like is because I literally physically pulled the cotton out. I would never trust that this would actually come out and stay where it’s supposed to.
