A: Thank you for your interest in Cora and all that we're doing to improve women's health globally. Currently, our applicators are made of a bioplastic material. We're working on introducing a more biodegradable option this year. We also have applicator free options available :)

A: Yes they are in a normal plastic applicator.
submitted byChan - 8 years ago
A: This is a shame (and a sham) that this brand is trying to advertise that they are a healthier alternative- but they are still using PLASTIC! Plastic will take centuries to biodegrade- use cardboard!

A: STOP BEING ABLIST IN YOUR ANSWERS! Cora tampons are one of the ONLY disability friendly tampons on the market, and it is BECAUSE of their applicator style. We NEED that defined ridge at the end of the applicator to be able to grip it to insert/remove the applicator. Your eco-screaming is making disabled people's lives so unnecessarily hard. We have periods too.

Q: Are these manufactured in Israel?
submitted by Lija - 4 months ago
A: Hi Lija, our tampon manufacturing has moved to China, though some older product from a previous supplier may still be in circulation at retail locations. The country of origin is printed on every box. Hope this helps!

A: Yes, we use a paraffin wax on our tampon string to make removal more comfortable. Hope this helps!

Q: What do you recommend?
My local store only sells, by regular and light tampons or regular and super tampons.
My flow is only sometimes heavy, is a regular tampon from this brand enough for a heavy flow?
submitted by Megan - 2 years ago
A: We recommend starting with the Regular/Light pack and see if that suits your needs before trying the super tampon.

Q: I am on a search for a new tampon company. A popular brand advertises as 100% organic cotton however has been in quite a few lawsuits. Do you use titanium dioxide in your tampons despite labeling?
submitted by Cam - 2 years ago
A: Hi, thanks for the question! We do not use titanium dioxide in our tampons. Hope this helps!

Q: Is the cotton bleached?
submitted by hello - 7 years ago
A: Hello, great question. We use peroxide, not bleach, to clean the organic cotton in the tampons.
If I could give these zero stars, I would. They used to be my favorite until they changed the applicator. I make sure it is clicked open properly and they still fail. The applicator is straight up worthless! It’s so sad that they changed the design because they were great before. Time to find a new brand

Applicator needs work...even though box says it had been improved
When the applicator works, the tampon is great. However, the applicator fails about 75% of the time. Even when it “clicks” into place that the advertised and promotional reviews say to do. When I use these, I make sure I have a couple with me each time I go to the restroom in preparation of an applicator failing. Won’t buy again due to the fact I wasted half the box on the applicator not working

Great tampons
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you're looking for the perfect tampon made with organic materials, this is it. They are absorbent and comfortable. They do not cause any discomfort.

Terrible New Applicator
New applicator is absolutely awful. It does not work. Do not even attempt it. I wasted so many trying and now returned the 3 boxes I bought. The tampons themselves were nice but are useless now.

Great natural cotton tampons
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been trying to only use natural and organic hygiene products for a long time now. And I’m really glad I tried these tampons. They are 100% organic cotton and they feel super gentle and safe. The compact applicator is super smooth and comfy. I can tell the quality is truly excellent, and the string is very securely attached. I honestly highly recommend them!👍

Soft
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like these tampons. It seems kind of weird, but you can feel that they're soft cotton. Even when they're dry, it feels like they're softer and mold to your body. They are decently absorbent, they worked for the amount that I expect from regular absorbency tampons and they consistently soak all the way through. They have a thick, double string that does absorb a bit too. The applicator is well designed, maybe a little over designed. The plunger folds into itself to make the unopened package a bit shorter.

Must have!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The absorption on these are very nice. I love how there’s no fragrance and they seem to be pretty natural product overall. I’ve been using the same type for a very long time so to try something different was nice to see what else is out there. I feel like the reliability on these is very good. Overall, I like this item.

100% organic.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little skeptical about this product as I’ve not heard of this brand. But I got this just a day before my cycle started and gave them a try. They were so comfortable, the texture was smooth and easy to use. Smooth removal and didn’t have a strong fragrance scent which I really loved. I will def be buying this in the future. I also noticed my cramps were lighter with these.

Terrible.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very disappointed with these tampons. I think they may be the worst tampons I have ever tried. The design makes it hard to push the actual tampon up and I have tried multiple times and could not insert it. Which is crazy because I’ve worn tampons for over 10 years and never had this issue with other brands.

They are leak free plus they are organic!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cora tampons are amazing they are so comfy and they do not leak! One of the things I love most is that they are compact and can easily fit in your wallet to make going out on your time of the month so much easier. A huge plus is that they are organic and have zero of the yucky stuff that shouldn’t be in tampons. The applicators are easy to use and comfortable to insert I would definitely recommend Cora!!

Period Protection that works!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] From someone who doesn’t love tampons, I’d definitely recommend these. They’re comfortable and easy to use. No leaks and lasted the appropriate amount of time. Bonus feature- packaging worked great for easy disposal.

Good organic tampon
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I very much like that Cora tampons are made without chlorine, dyes and pesticides and feel better about using them in my body. I had a little trouble with some of the applicators, in that they do not always extend sufficiently to aid in insertion. I also wish the applicator was cardboard or more environmentally friendly. But overall, I like the ethos of the brand and thought the tampon performed well.

Useful
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love when then make regular tampons discreet and easy to hide and keep in purse. They work like any other tampon and I’m so happy it was a plastic applicator instead of the paper one so it goes in very smooth. They don’t last long if you’re heavy. This is usually used for the last few days or the even the first day if you’re very light.

The applicator scratched me and I leaked through it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packaging is amazing and discreet. But when it came time to use one, the end of the applicator scratched me because it's so pointed. Then I leaked through in less than an hour because it never expanded or doesn't expand. Removal was simple considering it was the same size as the applicator. I guess they'd be perfect for someone with an extreme light flow but not for me.
