Q: Is the applicator plastic?

A: This is a shame (and a sham) that this brand is trying to advertise that they are a healthier alternative- but they are still using PLASTIC! Plastic will take centuries to biodegrade- use cardboard!
submitted by2legit2quit - 6 years agoA: STOP BEING ABLIST IN YOUR ANSWERS! Cora tampons are one of the ONLY disability friendly tampons on the market, and it is BECAUSE of their applicator style. We NEED that defined ridge at the end of the applicator to be able to grip it to insert/remove the applicator. Your eco-screaming is making disabled people's lives so unnecessarily hard. We have periods too.

Q: What do you recommend? My local store only sells, by regular and light tampons or regular and super tampons. My flow is only sometimes heavy, is a regular tampon from this brand enough for a heavy flow?

SO BAD
I never write reviews but I just had to for this product because I’m appalled at the quality. Not only is the applicator terrible, but these tampons DO NOT stay in no matter what you do. I wish I listened to the review before I purchased these. They are unusable.

Applicator is no good
The applicator is flimsy and cuts into your skin. Tampax needs to create an organic version because their applicator is 100x better. Check out reddit to see the more detailed reviews. Love the idea of an organic tampon but this applicator is horrible, and Super and Super+ absorbency is not good.

I usually don’t write reviews but since this item had such bad reviews, I had to share my experience. The tampons were just as good, if not better, than the leading brands I’ve used. The applicator was easy to use and did not pinch me like other reviewers experienced. My flow is heavy and I did not experience leaks with either the regular or super sizes. Maybe the company updated the quality after the other reviews because I saw nothing wrong with this product.

I’ve used Cora for YEARS . And for some reason the packages I keep getting have defective applicators !!?? Did they change the design? Or am I just that unlucky . I’ve had to throw away half my box because faulty issues . Waste of money , and so frustrating .

HORRIBLE APPLICATION!
Uncomfortable application! It's always a bloody mess (literally) trying to insert the tampon with the way it's designed - NOT smooth at all!!!! I'll have to trash it all. Not buying again and I DO NOT recommend.

have used and liked this brand for years but they seem to have changed the applicator. The last package I bought I had to throw away probably 3/4 of the tampons due to faulty applicator. What a waste!

This is my first time trying these since 2018 and I remember why I hated them. Super uncomfortable insertion and wear, horrible applicator, and leakage compared to my tried and true brand. I think I’ve wasted half the pack due to immediate withdrawal from discomfort (no, it’s not the wrong size or human error). I wish there was a clean brand that actually had the design of Playtex.

Only for My Worst Enemies
These are horrible. I have tried them twice now and have had the same issues over the period of 1 year. The tampons itself might be one of the cleanest on the market, but it has accordian-like coverage similar to a Tampex (vs 360 like Playtex). I have not experienced leakage but these are not my favorite design. The applicator is my absolute LEAST favorite in the history of ever. Don't be fooled by the packaging - the tip is slightly rounded but not enclosed. That leaves dry cotton exposed on entry and it's not pleasant. It definitely isn't "smooth as silk". The compact design just means that the stick/insertion piece of the applicator tucks inside of the part that houses the cotton tampons. This leaves it wobbly and unstable. Definitely not cooperative for a one handed execution. The combining factors of a lack of an enclosed, rounded tip and an unstable push post this whole performance is rivaling Cirque de Solei in a public bathroom stall. I wanted to like these, I really did. Unfortunately, I actually hate everything about them. Double hate.

Dont waste your money
2 stars because they’re organic but these are awful. The applicator is terrible. They are extremely uncomfortable going in and half the time it pinches the inside of your body. The tampon itself is also not great. It’s uncomfortable when it expands and hurts when you pull them out. The applicator also does a terrible job getting the tampon in far enough and where it needs to be so I’ve wasted several tampons from having to take them out because it was so uncomfortable.
