Q: Is the applicator plastic?

  • A: Thank you for your interest in Cora and all that we're doing to improve women's health globally. Currently, our applicators are made of a bioplastic material. We're working on introducing a more biodegradable option this year. We also have applicator free options available :)

  • A: This is a shame (and a sham) that this brand is trying to advertise that they are a healthier alternative- but they are still using PLASTIC! Plastic will take centuries to biodegrade- use cardboard!

  • A: STOP BEING ABLIST IN YOUR ANSWERS! Cora tampons are one of the ONLY disability friendly tampons on the market, and it is BECAUSE of their applicator style. We NEED that defined ridge at the end of the applicator to be able to grip it to insert/remove the applicator. Your eco-screaming is making disabled people's lives so unnecessarily hard. We have periods too.

  • A: Hi Lija, our tampon manufacturing has moved to China, though some older product from a previous supplier may still be in circulation at retail locations. The country of origin is printed on every box. Hope this helps!

Q: What do you recommend? My local store only sells, by regular and light tampons or regular and super tampons. My flow is only sometimes heavy, is a regular tampon from this brand enough for a heavy flow?

Most frustrating tampons ive ever used

I was excited to try these tampons because I wanted to switch to a cleaner brand. Imagine my surprise when I finally use them and the applicator is absolutely terrible! I had to try so many times and keep re opening new ones because they either don’t come out of the applicator or unclip. And on top of that the super size does not absorb! I feel like I’m leaking or having to change it every hour. I love Cora pads but their tampons are a nightmare. Makes you feel like it’s your first time using a tampon. So difficult

Whatever you do, choose a different brand rather than these. The applicator is so hard to use, I could not even get the actual tampon to come out of the plastic, I had to toss the entire thing out and use something else!

They don’t expand/ absorb good. After two hrs I’m leaking and I go to switch tampon and it’s not even full and still as slim as it was when taken out the packaging. Also it feels like it’s falling out after about an hr or so.

Good quality, but the new applicators are not efficient

Used these tampons for years at this point I’ve never had issues with the applicator until I’ve purchased the “improved applicator” selection & I’ve gone through half the box trying to put a tampon in… genuinely tried & recoiled the tampon 3 times & still had to grab another. I’ve been wearing tampons for 17 years & have never had this issue. I will continue to buy because I will never use anything but organic but Cora help a girl out we just need simple application nothing fancy just efficient.

The new applicator design doesn’t allow the tampon to fully be pushed out smoothly. You have to make sure the middle piece and end piece are aligned and connected properly.

Do not buy until they fix applicator design

These used to be the best tampons. Now they do not work. The applicator gets jammed or wont stay extended when it should. Very frustrating and a waste of money!

Great tampon, terrible applicator

The new applicator is terrible. The tampon itself is comfortable and absorbs appropriately, but the applicator breaks or collapses every time I try to insert it. It doesn't lock into place like it should.

The applicator breaks off when simply pulling it out to lock it in place. The applicator also fails to push out cotton so it stays 90% inside the applicator. Ive never seen such a poor product. If you buy these bring 3 or 4 for every one to need to account for the failure rate. For example if you think you'll need 3 bring at least 9-12 with you.

Safe yourself frustration and dont buy these.

These tampons never insert. I don't know what has happened but literally the last three boxes ive had to throw away because they are impossible to insert.

Organic absorbent tampon, but HORRIBLE applicator!

Tried these for the first time. Love the fact that these tampons are organic cotton considering they sit inside for lengths of time. Hate the applicator! Not once did it work out of my entire last period using the tampons. Every single one broke and I ended up inserting without the benefit of a smooth applicator. The tampons themselves work great. I always leak past tampons, no matter the brand and have to wear a pad as well, but they kept leak through to an absolute minimum. Better than other mainstream non-organic brands by far! But the applicator is trash and positively useless. Many girls need the applicator, and this one is too problematic. I mean, NOT EVEN ONE WORKED. Fix that, and you have a brilliant tampon. Until then, skip.

Applicators dont work

I wasted half of the box because the applicators didn’t work. I bought the box 2 days ago, and already am out, because of a flaw in the applicator design that doesn’t push that tampon in. This was my first time in over 20 years trying a new brand of tampons. Going straight back to Tampax.

New applicator is AWFUL

They changed the applicator and it’s terrible. It’s three sep pieces now and the top portion breaks off without any help and if you’re lucky you can get it back on but probably can’t- and if it falls off in public then ew. Gave two stars because the tampon itself is great.

New Applicator is Poorly Designed

I’ve wasted so many of these due to the tampon getting stuck in the applicator! I had a couple left that I bought last year, and they work just fine. Idk what Cora changed, but they need to change it back or I’ll be switching to a new brand.
