A: We don’t think so—the BPA-free plastic applicator is only in contact with the body briefly during insertion. Our priority is keeping the tampon itself as natural and chemical-free as possible, since it remains in the body longer and has closer contact with sensitive tissue. Hope this helps!

A: We share your passion for the environment as well, that's why our Cora packaging boxes are 100% recyclable. While our applicators are made of polypropylene, items contaminated with bodily fluids (blood) are not allowed into the recycling stream and should be properly disposed of in the trash. I can’t believe I’m writing a tampon review but after being a lifelong Tampax user I thought I’d try the organic route. Every single tampon gets stuck inside the applicator causing the user (aka me) to have to use their finger like an OB tampon, which is obviously undesirable for a variety of reasons. 0/10 and would not recommend these for anyone.

Then you will know that the applicator is ready. We have a video here that illustrates how to use it: http://bit.ly/coracompactapp Also, if you are having issues with the tampons fully expelling, make sure that you are pushing the inner tube all the way up into the outer tube until the bottom of both tubes are touching. We also offer an applicator-free version of our tampons which might work better for you. Hope this helps!

These tampons seem to be a bit shorter than some of the other organic options, which for my body seems to be way more comfy. No issue using the applicator as others have shared, but I'm more of a disk/o.b. user so my perspective is likely different.

Terrible design
Its way to short to comfortably insert and even when you do get a decent angel it doesn't come out! I haven't been able to actually use one because of the poor design. Either the whole things will come before its in, or it just won’t come out.

String coated in Paraffin! Beware of allergic reaction!
I've been using these for months now and noticed towards the end of every period I start to get EXTREMELY itchy and inflammed. I thought these were 100% organic cotton, however, the string in coated in Paraffin, which "is a waxy, flammable substance derived from petroleum, coal, or oil shale." Like why can't women have a 100% healthy option?

Flimsy, cheap, thin applicators!
The plastic is so flimsy. It’s so difficult to grab it and get a good grip to push the tampon in for insertion. The tampon constantly gets stuck in the applicator because of the flimsy plastic, and half the time I can’t fully release the tampon all the way in because of that. I’ve used compact applicators for years, and even this brand and never had issues. They’ve changed something though to cut costs. I’m ready to throw all my boxes away. Only giving 2 stars because the cotton inside is at least fine and does the job. Pleaseeee fix the flimsy applicators!
