Cutting paper NOT fingers!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are so easy to use and a great tool in teaching children how to cut! They are smooth but yet sharp enough to cut paper but not hurt themselves by cutting their fingers. I would have to say that these are a great addition to any classroom for children just beginning to learn how to cut. Plus as a bonus. The book that comes with them, has so many wonderful ideas, and. options available to help them maneuver the scissors effectively to cut the specific shape requested. Overall, any teacher would be significantly satisfied with their students using the scissors to start the year off.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My toddler loves to color the different pictures. She’s had a fun time using the starter scissors to cut out the pictures and they’re safe so we don’t have to worry about her cutting herself!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son just turned 2 and I know it is rated for 2+. He is definitely on the younger side of the age spectrum for this book. With that being said, the scissors were the perfect size to fit his little hands. he was able to open and close the handles easily with the spring loaded action. However, getting him to position the scissors so they met the paper at the right angle was difficult. He liked cutting for a few minutes, but quickly lost interest as the activities were too difficult for him other than the practice cutting. I would recommend for ages 3+.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Fiskars Cut and Learn activity book with training scissors is a fantastic educational tool that would capture the interest and nurture the fine motor skills of any child aged 2+. I'm always on the lookout for toys that combine fun and learning, and this product has truly delivered. The training scissors are designed with safety in mind, allowing a little one to practice cutting without the risk of accidents. The accompanying activity book is thoughtfully designed with engaging patterns and shapes, making each page a delightful adventure. It not only keeps the child entertained but also helps them develop essential hand-eye coordination and scissor skills, preparing them for future tasks like cutting paper and crafting. What's particularly impressive about this product is the gradual progression it offers. It starts with simple, easy-to-follow lines and shapes, allowing my child to gain confidence in their cutting abilities. As they progress through the book, the activities become more complex, offering a sense of accomplishment and encouraging continued learning. It's a fantastic introduction to the world of cutting and a wonderful stepping stone for their overall development. The Fiskars Cut and Learn activity book with training scissors have made learning a hands-on and enjoyable experience, and I highly recommend it to parents looking to foster their child's creativity and motor skills in a safe and engaging way.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My children really enjoyed trying to cut the different shapes in the book. As a parent, I liked that the scissors were not a “normal” pair of scissors and when my 4 year tried to cut her hair, it did not work. They were safe and effective for cutting paper and nothing else.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product free from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. I like the idea of this book for practicing scissor safety with my toddler, however I wish there was more grip or that they didn’t open as wide because her little hands kept slipping down. It was hard for her to use and I was worried she was going to cut herself while trying to readjust her hand position.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After getting the product, it's a little too advanced for my son who just turned 2. But I still wanted to give it a shot for the purpose of this review. Love the little scissor. It was definitely safe enough for a 2 year old. My son was able to hold and use the scissors. Once my son is old enough I will be using this to teach my son how to use scissors.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a sahm who loves doing different activities with my toddler. When I received this item complimentary to review, I was so excited as I had yet to work on cutting skills. The scissors are well made and not so sharp that my son would hurt himself with them. I began by showing him how to use the scissors and then practiced with hand over hand. Once we had made a couple of practice cuts, my son was able to make short snips on the paper. He’s still figuring out the open close, open close motion which results in cutting. I love that each page in the book is engaging and practices different cutting skills. I’m excited to work on each page with my son as a fun learning and fine motor activity.
