Fun, but quality is lacking

This swing is very fun for kids and adults. We have gotten lots of use out of it. My complaint is I wish it would have held up better. After 6 months it was already getting gross, where it seems the bamboo hasn't been sealed properly for outdoor use. It has been in the shade under a tree. We are coming up on 2 years now and you don't want to sit on it at all. It won't clean off, it's in the board. Also the handles are hollow and we have to be careful because we have had ants build nests inside before. The handles have held up better than the board itself. I've included a picture of the swing at 6 months, 1.75 years, and the handles at 1.75 years as well.
