Q: Can this be used to help a 5 year olds cradle cap?

A: Hi Dave, this was specifically designed for the Cradle Cap that LOs tend to develop during 0-12 months old, but this could work loosen up any flakes with your 5 year old.

Q: How do you clean the comb? The dry skin that came off his head is stuck in the comb. I have tried soaking it in water and wiping it off but still stuck

I was not expecting this to do the trick, but WOW. The amount of dead skin I removed from my child’s head was alarming! I wish I would have tried this way sooner! I also used the Frida shampoo / moisturizer spray, and barely had to scrub her head. Definitely recommend the two paired together!

It does seem to work for removing cradle cap. However, after 3 or 4 uses the glue failed and the spongy part fell off. So, not great manufacturing quality.

Don't even bother with the Safety 1st one. It never worked with our first son. So glad I just spent the money on this one! First time we used it was a huge improvement. His head was so clean and soft and kissable. The bath water was pretty gross afterwards, you could see how much it took off with just 1 use!
