This digital light timer gets the job done ..to a point. It has a sleek, modern appearance, but don’t let that fool you into thinking it’s easy to use. Programming and setting it up is more complicated than it should be, even for someone who is considered comfortable with technology — even those technologically inclined, some may say. . The instructions aren’t particularly intuitive, and making simple schedule changes can become frustrating. After decades of using various light timers, I ultimately went back to analog models. They may not look as fancy, but I’ve found them to be more reliable, easier to set, and much less of a headache overall. If you value appearance over simplicity, this timer might work for you. If you want something straightforward and dependable, an analog timer may be the better choice.

Interface is not as intuitive as other timers of the same ilk, but they got the job done until one of them decided to stop working only a few months after purchasing. Display and buttons function as they should, but the set program doesn’t work, nor does the manual on/off. Total junk.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was in the market for a timer to turn on lights since it's gotten darker earlier. Our kids hate arriving home to a dark house. My Touch Smart Simple Set plug in timer is just that... easy, simple to set up and works. You have the ability to have 2 daily on/off times. It's very small (think the size of a phone charger) and doesn't stock out from the wall. Very happy with the product. In fact, we now have three of them hard at work in our home.

It was pretty easy to program having just the two on/offs and you just scroll through the time. The display is a little hard to see. It is supposed to be low profile, but my dog has knocked it out of the wall twice squeezing behind the furniture, but few plugs can hold up to that sort of a test. I feel more comfortable knowing that I can set my lights to go on and off 2x a day, and it is easy enough to change that I can change it frequently to deter a noticeable pattern. I definitely recommend this indoor timer.

So easy to set the timer for my lamp to turn on when it gets dark and shut off at bedtime. Then it turns it back on early morning and shuts off at 8 am . I love it! Highly recommend!
