Genuine Purdy Revolution 9" Roller Frame 14A751349

These used to be excellent frames but not any longer. I take care of my equipment and clean everything on a daily basis but having to replace these frames constantly as after a few uses they become sticky or cease to the point where you cannot roll with them. I also found that sleeves now tend to slide off a bit during use (no matter what brand of sleeve). Just too expensive for the use that I get out of them now. Just had another one go after 3 days of use. Have tried letting them soak in water and adding a couple of drops of lubricant but doesn't seem to help.

Been waiting for 30 years, purchased this item recently. Don't waste your money, the roller keeps falling off with or without a matching Purdy roller. Makes more mess than what's it's worth, very disappointing

Couple uses & roller stops spinning, on my 3rd cage now & has happened all 3, great lightweight roller but poor design where paint weeps into axle & preventing it from spinning

Worst roller I have ever used. Roller brushes keep falling off while painting. I used roller brushes from differnt manufactuerers as well, same result.

I've been using Purdy for 20 yrs with fantastic results. This latest design of 9" frame is trash. It siezes up and stops rolling after 1 or 2 uses. You absolutley can not leave these in paint overnight. Even working a long 10-12 day is enough to cause it to stop working. Very disappointed, especially since I recenrly upgraded all my extension polls to the quick release

The negative reviews are spot on. I’ve never used a roller that is this worthless. Second time using it and it won’t roll.

Awful, went stiff and will not revolve/spin/move properly after just a few jobs. Waste if money, would like a refund, I bought 3!!!

Paint gets between the rotating plastic roller parts and then it won't roll easily, so is useless. Cleaning doesn't prevent this since you can't take it apart to clean between the axle, bearing, and cage. It's just an expensive single-use roller.

I bought this roller frame a little over a month ago. It gets cleaned religiously, and never left open with paint on it. Its design allows for paint to build up inside, where you cannot get to it. It has slowly built up enough that it drags the roller cover across the paint instead of rolling. I do a lot of painting, And I’ve had A few roller frames. I have never had one do this. I would not recommend this roller frame, as I am already unable to use it. The only reason it’s gotten two stars from me is for the frame itself is lightweight and sturdy, It holds a roller cover on tight, so it does not work its way off, It has a comfortable handle. Other than that, I wish I would’ve bought a different one. I have many Purdy products, And so far this is the only one that I am extremely unsatisfied with.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Purdy paint roller frame was easy to use. I love that it’s reusable unlike others I’ve used in the past were it’s hard to clean. This one was easy to clean in between uses. The grip was nice too, didn’t get cramps in my hands when painting. I also like that you have the option to attach a longer pole for harder to reach areas. I didn’t need to attach an extender but love that it’s an option.

I honestly figured there was no real difference besides maybe a more comfortable handle. Putting the roller on was easy, and it clicked in securely. But was also a breeze to take off. Handle is very comfortable. What I was most impressed with, was how smoothly it rolled. So much less resistance than I’m used to. That, and the comfort grip allowed me to get more painting done each day, before tiring out. It definitely worth any extra charge over a standard/generic roller frame. Recommend!!

Purdy has always been reliable when we painted our last 2 homes, inside and out. When using the 9"inch roller with an extended pole, you are able to apply a good amount of pressure without it refusing to want to roll or twisting loose. The structure of the roller cleans up nicely even if you wait a little while between sessions, before having to clean. (Always recommend putting the wet roller into a plastic bag, not allowing air to get to it) once I'm finished the frame cleans up and is usable for your next project.
