A: There is a little flap on the inside of clip, when lifted up, it allows clip to actually stand on a solid surface.

A: You don't have to keep reclipping it. You can clip it to the cover or several pages of the book. The light extends over the top of the book, so there's no need to move it at all.

I've had 1 of these lights for about 2 years and just got another one for my husband. It's the perfect amount of light to read by or when I don't want to turn on the lamp at night. It bends well and every which way. The clamp part is a little bulky but nothing major. It still clamps well to a book or my nightstand.

Complete waste of $15 - Don't bother
It worked great at first and I had no issues for the first two weeks of using it. Then, all of a sudden it wasn’t working. I kept pressing the button to turn it on, but nothing would happen. I changed the batteries, no improvement. After pressing it multiple times, the light would turn on, but it wouldn’t dim no matter how many times, or how hard, I pressed and held it. I then had to press the button multiple times again to turn it off.
