A: Item bought May 2023, revisited. The item did smell strongly as first reported, but the odor went completely away with airing a few days. The item is perfect, exactly as desired (after airing) -

With a toddler at the table thing can get pretty messy. We've always enjoyed having a tablecloth on the table and tried using placemats at meals, but that wasn't cutting it with a toddler at meals. Now, having this clear cover over the tablecloth it makes cleanup after meals so much easier!
