Save your money. I bought this product for my girlfriend as a Christmas gift. Didn't even last a year and wouldn't play any sound. Customer support is non existent. It's honestly incredible for a device that only plays sounds and lights up, it can't even do half of its functions correctly.

Plug in?
I was excited however I didnโt realize it needed to be plugged in at all times which is inconvenient since my son has a bunk bed and no outlet up high. I assumed it was battery or chargeable especially in this day and age. There is a competitor that offers battery with the same reviews as hatch so I may be trying that one instead. Bummer like the look just not convenient.

I really love my new Hatch Restore and overall Iโm very happy with it. My biggest frustration is with the subscription model. The Restore is already a fairly high-priced product, and only a handful of sounds are included without a subscriptionโroughly five options per feature like Cue, Unwind, and Alarm. I understand having premium content like meditations, sleep casts, and more specialized programming behind a subscription, but I found it frustrating that basic nature sounds and soothing music are so limited. There also doesnโt appear to be a way to filter or easily see which content is included with the device versus what requires a subscription. That makes exploring the app feel like a poor user experience, because you frequently find something you like only to discover itโs locked. It also feels somewhat forced when you have to start a subscription and then proactively cancel it if you donโt want to continue. Iโm happy with the features and content that are included, and I think the Restore is a great product. I just wish more of the basic sounds were included given the price point, or that there were a clearer way to browse the free content. I think the subscription makes sense for premium content, but gating basic nature sounds and relaxing music behind it feels a bit excessive.

A Complete Life Changer!
The Hatch Restore 3 has truly changed my life and made waking up on time possible. I used to use a Loftie clock, but I hated that it required updates every single night before bed, which disrupted my sleep. Worse, its alarm failed to wake me up on time, causing me to oversleep constantly. After that, I switched to a jarring phone alarm for the last few months of high school, which was a terrible, disturbing way to wake up. I discovered that light was the key to waking my body up naturally. The Hatch Restore 3 completely solved my problem thanks to the sunrise light that gradually brightens the room before the actual audio alarm goes off. I love the customizable lights and audio options. Plus, instead of dealing with nightly software updates, I can finally just press the top knob to instantly start my bedtime routine and wind down. Maybe not for me
I was excited to try hatch to assist w my nighttime routine and getting away from scrolling. The app takes some time to get used to but the night time sounds are an interesting collection but all of the water sounds sound like static. I do enjoy the customization options for light sound and volume. Sleek design.

Looks so much better than most clocks that are similar. I love that the alarm has soothing sounds and sunrise. I only wish it was Bluetooth enabled to play my own music instead having to use a separate speaker. Trying to reduce clutter around my nightstand.

Not functioning as expected
While I love the hatch and purchased one after loving it at my boyfriend's. I'm experiencing 3 issues that seem to be a malfunction. I've been trying to troubleshoot these with no success. 1. In my routine, my hatch will not transition from my wind down in to sleep (brown noise) unless I do so manually. This has been frustrating since I enjoy the wind down very much, but have to resist drifting off in order to get the brown noise on. (if i do not have it on while I sleep, I wont sleep through the night). 2. Additionally, In my routine set up, I have to manually adjust the color myself every night. I have a sound selected that I love, but it automatically pairs it with a specific color, that I don't like. In order to switch it to my preferred color I need to open the app and manually change it. I feel like there should be a way to set this permanently in a custom wind down. There doesn't seem to be an option to do that. 3. Finally, the tap function for the clock to appear hardly works at all. I have given up trying, as it seems to only appear if i lift it up and slam it down on my nightstandโ which just ins't worth it. But I was looking forward to this feature so that I could keep off my phone at night. If there are solutions to any of these problems, that would be great.

If I could give this zero stars I would. I will preface with we have 2 hatch devices for our kids and havenโt had issues with those. Well, after 2 hours of endless cycling on updating firmware and refusing to connect to their app the device still would not work. For $170 it shouldโฆ.work. Will be returning and could not recommend less
