About the Author

Jill Magi works in text, image, and textile. Recent titles include My Penelope, which gathers over fifteen years of critical writing, lyrical essays, and reviews on themes including documentary and poetry, race and the avant garde, class and art-making, and ecopoetics, and Hinge: Remember Me to Textiles (Nightboat Books, 2027), a book-length meditation on textiles, writing, and a disposition to life, art, and politics called "textilic." Magi is the author of six full-length poetry collections and numerous handmade books collected by the University at Buffalo library, and has shown her visual work internationally. She is based in Vermont.
