The item is gorgeous, so well made, unfortunately hard to keep in place and secure. I tried other surfaces with no success. Will have to return. I do recommend the product, it may work for other folks, Target has a great return policy!

Thanks for trying the product. The candy canes are designed to hold themselves in place once weight is applied, even if it's just the weight of an empty stocking. Sorry they didn't work for you!

Great item!
I bought this item two years ago, and ordered more recently. They are light weight hold quite a bit weight and you can place them anywhere without scratching any furniture. I love these holders .

Works great! Yes, they can sway a little when stockings are empty or even full, but they stay on the mantel. This product is a great alternative to putting hooks, or nails in your mantel.

Love these Candy Cane Stocking Holders.
These stocking holders are festive and don’t take up too much room on the mantle. I owned 8 from previous years, but needed 1 more this year ( I have a new grandson!). There were none in any of the three Target stores I checked, but a manager in the holiday area in the Reston Target helped me find them on the Target site to order another set online. Wonderful customer service!

Well made product
Works great on my thick bulky mantle. I like them because it still give me space to decorate on top of my mantle. The rubber ends are a bonus and will not dig in and mess up the paint finish.

Sorry to hear the product didn't work for you. Hopefully it was clear that the holders need the weight of at least an empty stocking to hold themselves in place (i.e. upright). Once in place, they can hold a full stocking, up to 10-lbs. The rubber ends help to "grip" the fireplace mantel while also protecting from scratches. Again, sorry the product didn't work well for you but wanted to be sure you had the details on how they hold in place. Thanks for your business and trying our Candy Cane Stocking Holders.

Very nice looking.
These look great on my stone mantel. The surface of my mantle is a little uneven but that doesn't seem to be problem. They look nice all facing the same way with stockings hanging. This was a really good buy.

Cute, but wobbly
Perhaps it is my mantle which is just a solid square block type mantle, but these are really wobbly. I had to use double sided tape to anchor down the product. It could be that it is made for certain shape or size of mantle? They do look really cute though.

Thanks for your review and purchasing our products. Depending on your mantel shape/ size, please note that the Candy Cane stocking holders might need to be holding a stocking to prevent the wobble factor. Usually the weight of even an empty stocking will hold them in place. Once Santa arrives, and they stockings are full, they'll stay in place securely and are able to hold even the fullest stockings (up to 10lbs). Have a great holiday season!!
