Q: What size is the car that comes with the track? I am seeing a lot of reviews saying that other hot wheels cars do not work with this track.

A: Yes, I found it extremely frustrating to figure out what cars will work with this set. It comes with a Hotwheels special, just a shape with huge scale wheels. It has to be a light car, but not too light.. it ends up being an issue If tou don't have a big collection to pick from. Matchbox and real car scale reproduction don't really work. Honestly, the only car that works six out of eleven times is the the one that it comes with, which is a strange looking vehicle with what would be maybe twenty two inch wheels to scale

The car in the set can make it all the way through the track, but I’ve yet to successfully launch any of our other hot wheels through all three loops, even though they fit the track/inside the launch-house just fine.

A: Vehicles that work best on Hot Wheels Sets are regular 1:64 scale sports cars or sedans. Vehicles that usually do not work are vans, trucks, or buses; anything too bulky or heavy.

Actually a great track set!
THOROUGH REVIEW. I bought this for my daughter (5yo) for our Hotwheels RC cars. After reading aot of complaints about cars not making it through, I decided to test it with every car she had (~60). 24 cars made it through all 3 loops without the loop booster. 19 needed the loop booster to make it all the way through. 13cars could not make it through the second loop. 3 cars could not launch properly due to their curved trunks. I noticed that the cars that couldn't make it were not ideal for loops as they had low profile spoilers/ bumpers in the front. The set is hinged between the second and third loop allowing you to create two track lines with Hotwheels Builder's track pieces. **Optimal performance requires tracks to be inside the track guides at each connection, otherwise cars will hang up and crash. Just a bit of perception and basic knowledge of physics and this track is an ideal addition to any builder's track sets you may have!

pretty rare that we can find a car that makes it all the way through. Not worth it. My son just gets disappointed that nothing makes it through the end.

Fun idea. Poor Design
Only certain hot wheels are light enough / small enough for this track and that’s IF you hit the launch lever hard enough and just right. Not worth the money because it only works about 20% of the time.

Target sold me a defective item, a toy for my 4 year old and it was defective. In the photos I show where the anchor is present everywhere but where it's needed to hold the loop.
Bought as a gift for my four-year-old as a reward for his positive actions. When we opened it to find it defective. It caused a huge issue in my household as a direct result of target actions. Then Target played games with fixing it

Kids love this track.
We bought this on a whim from a store. Our 4 year old absolutely loves it. We also just learned about the launcher halfway through, made it that much more enjoyable for him. Not all of our cars work for it but that doesn't matter to the 4yr old. Super happy we got this for the kids. I would say this isn't for younger kids who don't have the proper force to launch the cars.

Don't be fooled by the good reviews!
If you read through the reviews you will notice that a lot of them are from an outside source and added to this listing. With that being said, this would be cool if it worked properly. The piece that gives the cars the final push in the last loop should be in loop two for best results but there is no way to modify this set to do that. It's hard enough for an adult to get a car to make it to loop 3 when slamming down the lever let alone a child who this is designed for. Only ga

We like the design and color combination of this track as well as the 3 loops. It definitely chucks the car super fast through the end when you have it set up properly. The concept is cool however it does not work with any of our other hot wheels specific cars we have or lighter model off brand cars either. We purchased for our 2 year old hoping he could finally have something to play with his cars on other than the floor so this was a bit of a disappointing factor. Had I known the other cars were not compatible, I would not have purchased this track.

I like the concept of this hot wheels track. I did notice on the box that it says it might not work with every type of hot wheels car. HOWEVER, considering the cost of this item, I assume that it would be compatible with at least several of the other hot wheels brand cars that we own. Unfortunately it only seems to work with the one car that was provided. This is disappointing and I would not have purchased this item if I had realized that.

Flimsy and Cheap
This is a very flimsy and cheap track. I got it for my four year old and it held his attention for one day. The track comes apart easily and the car rarely makes it through the entire track which is frustrating for my kiddo. I would not recommend.

Cool track for one car
This is cool if your child is satisfied with playing with one car. We bought hot wheels Ultra Hots cars in target thinking they would run on this track. Hence the title of the track. But no. Only car for the track is the one that came with it. No point in extending the track. We even bought the hot wheels that stated for track only. Nope didn't work either.
