Bad closure
Everyone I know who has an igloo cooler has broken these plastic clip closures at the hinge. They suck! And knowing this, there are no spares included, forcing buyers to buy and repair themselves.

Junk
Is the only latch that fits cooler with out modification as this was the original latch on cooler. May last 1 year max that's about it.

Replacement Standard Plastic Latch
The standard latch fit our older cooler which had both latches broken. The replacements came quickly and fit perfectly - preventing us from having to throw away a perfectly good cooler just because the latches were broken. The only negative is the original design of the latch is a weak point so the replacements will eventually fail in an identical manner.

You can’t tighten the screws. The latch is loose. The latch keeps falling off because the screws can’t be tighten.
