Q: With frozen ice packs will it keep food items frozen for 6 -8 hours?

  • A: My cans stayed cool without ice from fidge from 10pm to 9am. Than we added ice around 12pm. It lasted all day until we came back from the beach and the next day to clean left overs. The cans where still cold as if they were from the fridge

Q: How do you accurately pre chill the cooler ?

  • A: Great question, Lisa! Prior to packing, we recommend that you prechill your Igloo cooler overnight by storing it in a cool place– ideally with a bag of ice inside to help diminish the trapped heat. Then fill your Igloo cooler with large cubes that are frozen solid – avoid crushed or dripping ice. Use of large ice blocks (or large frozen bottles of water) will help prolong ice retention. During use, find a cool, shady resting spot for your cooler, if possible. Keep it out of direct sunlight to extend your ice life. Avoid opening your cooler more than is absolutely necessary and be sure to close the latches when not in use to lock in the cold. As ice begins to melt, if feasible, leave the water inside your cooler (feasibility varies with contents of cooler) - the cold water keeps the ice chilled longer than the air that replaces it when you remove the water. The rugged construction and extra thick insulation of your rotomolded Igloo cooler support the use of dry ice.     Works better than expected

    Picked this up for a party and it did great for drinks. It’s a cooler, whatever. However!!! I was using it for grocery shopping on a summer road trip. I had milk in it and forgot to take it out and put it away during a day trip. Sad, and ready to throw out warm milk, I took it out and It Was Still Cold! The only other thing in there was some thaw to eat treats for later. In the trunk of the car, for several hours. While I would not recommend you leave milk in the cooler all day, it was a wonderful surprise that it stayed cold that long!!

    Igloo vs heat wave (Igloo wins)

    Placed ice in the cooler yesterday at 1pm and left it in my car with a water bottle. Came back today same time and there was about 35% ice still there and the bottle was cold. It was 90f yesterday and today its 103f. This purchase was the right way to go. Hope this helps someone is this historic heat wave we are having.

    Cheap quality. Lid pops out/pops off every time opened. 📌 Skip this purchase. 🚩Seems to not seal edges to keep cold. Two 10lb ice bags melted in 24hrs. Indoors, 70F° room. Little room inside. NO DRAIN SPOUT! Have pick up entire cooler filled with water, melted ice, in order to empty it out.
