Intelligentsia Black Cat Analog Medium Roast Espresso - 12oz

I have tried dozens of coffees, from Intelligentsia and other roasters...this is the one I would always come back to. It's been a couple years now that this is the only bean I buy.

If I could return this I would. It’s acidic and almost fruity. If that’s your thing you might like it. But I think it’s terrible. 🤷🏻‍♀️

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Coffee is more on the lighter roast side than usual medium roast. Has notes of nuts and citrusy. Since it’s lighter roast, it’s quite acidic for anyone who couldn’t tolerate it. Bag comes in 12oz package and zip lock mechanism. Packaging is plastic which helps sealing the coffee freshness.

It is a medium roast but is filled with flavored and rich. I grinded it and used to make espresso and it tasted great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been wanting to try interstellar coffee for some time now. I have heard a lot of good reviews, so I decided to try for myself. I'm happy to say I wasn't disappointed! The beans are a perfect medium roast, not oily at all. I like to pull shot of espresso with a medium roast for a more balanced flavor profile. The bag of beans smells fresh, but I was disappointed to not see a roast date. Just a use by date, which was close. Dialing in the beans took three tries, and I finally got the shot I wanted. The shot had a good-looking crema for not knowing the roast date. The flavor notes were spot on. I could taste and smell notes of chocolate and fruit. The slight bitterness makes it perfect for lattes. My favorite drink to make with these beans is iced latte. I feel the flavor notes really shine well.
