My favorite coffee. It's so smooth, rich and delicious. I really like that it's not acidy. I can't imagine having to start my morning without it.

Great Flavorful, More Classic Espresso

My favorite of the Black Cat line. It's a nice classic espresso - brown sugar, dark chocolate notes. My new grinder really brings out the flavor notes so I can appreciate this blend even more.

Sublunar

Surprisingly smooth finish. Not quite as bold as the classic, but bold enough for my preference. It really strikes a nice balance! I will order again.

Amazing and rich

The first time I got Intelligentsia coffee (black cat specifically) It was this darker roast, but I didn't know it at the time. Since then I've tried the analog and the lighter roast, and I've loved them (especially analog, which was my long time go-to favorite) but recently decided to try this darker one because the lighter acidity that I always loved was hitting the spot less and less. I got this and immediately recognized it as the first black cat I got that hooked me. Rich, bold, full of body and warmth. I've always been afraid of dark roasts because they have tasted to me kinda burnt, but this doesn't *at all* but still has that richness I love. Would recommend for anyone especially those looking to try out dark roasts. (My espresso machine love making black cat sublunar too) Смачного!

4 months expired

Coffee might be good but I'll never know because the beans I received are 4 months expired. I wouldn't recommend getting beans shipped from target- consistently expired or incorrect item descriptions aren't worth the hassle of trying to get customer service to cooperate... ☹️

Mind blowing flavor!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It took me awhile to review these because I had to buy a coffee bean grinder, but let me be the first to say it was worth it! This coffee was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and the nuttiness of the hazelnut was perfection. I typically buy my coffee pre ground, but this coffee changes that! I also love the mission of this brand of coffee, working for sustainability in their harvesting efforts. I need more of their coffee!!

Great quality cafe coffee

Our favorite has been in Jamaica. We tried this and it was great! Made our whole house smell like a cafe. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We loved Intelligentsia Black Cat Sublunar coffee. It’s a lovely dark roast with notes of hazelnut. It smelled amazing while brewing. It tastes dark, semi sweet and bitter. I added creamer to mine like I normally do. The kids loved grinding up the beans and seeing the entire brewing process. I loved that they are sustainable and collaborate with farmers. Will purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This would be better ground and made as coffee in your coffee machine. But since it's an espresso roast, I wanted to try it made in my espresso machine. It brewed a deliciously rich coffee with a warm nuttiness and no bitterness. Though not actually espresso, it still made a delicious latte. Pictured here I used 2 shots of this Intelligentsia Black Cat Sublunar Espresso Dark Roast Coffee, steamed soy milk, and 1.5 oz Torani hazelnut syrup. 😋☕ I would highly recommend for any dark roast coffee lover. I generally drink coffee black, and this was very delicious when I drank black.

I love the texture of the coffee, and think that it’s flavorful and vibrant both before and after brewing. It gives me a little extra energy which is always a great thing, and I love the way it’s packaged. This is a brand I already bought and consumed before getting to test it, and it’s well worth the money!
