We like to think of Stumptown Founder’s Blend as a dose of sunshine in a cup. It’s a full-bodied coffee that starts any morning off right. Founder’s Blend features coffees from Guatemala, Nicaragua, Peru, Colombia, and Mexico. Throughout the year, we rotate peak condition coffees to maintain a balanced, elegant, and consistent profile of this bright brew. Nearly 20 years ago, Stumptown Coffee Roasters began roasting exemplary coffee. A: We don't add nuts or any kind of flavorings to our coffee; we use the best natural beans available. You will see tasting notes on our packaging and website to describe nuances in each coffee, noticing things like brightness, sweetness, and body. Do not be alarmed if you can't taste orange or clove in your cup. Flavor only matters in your context.

I really wanted to like this coffee. This is not a dark roast. It poured very light and was not very flavorful at all. Unfortunately, I would not buy again.

Not for me.
Wish I wouldn't have bought 2 bags. Not the best coffee I've drank. I get no vanilla or cocoa notes at all. Getting more of a stale taste. Beans are very dry is u know what I mean. For the price I expected better.

Sour citrus with a hint of caramel
This has a strong citrus flavour. Avoid this blend if you do not care for that type of coffee. There is a hint of caramel, but it is acidic enough to taste as if it were brewed with a coffee maker that badly needs cleaning.

Expensive, not great.
Lacks the fresh roasted nutty smell that other premium coffees have when first opening the package. Used for pour over, not great, a bit sour. Much prefer Phil's or Peet's whole bean.

Its light roast... but doesn't say it on bag.
When picking out this coffee I wasn’t sure what the blend was going to be. I took a chance and bought it. I use a French press to make my coffee so I grind the coffee beans. It smells like a great coffee but I am not a fan of light roast coffee. If you like a light roast this is for you. Like I said it smelled great but it wasn’t for me.

Why so many good reviews?
Bought it because of very good reviews. Tasted like instant coffee. Really disappointed. I grounded the beans by myself for a French press. Phil’s tastes much much better. Never buy this brand again.

Delicious!
Amazing, my favorite coffee. So hard to find this blend from Stumptown. It’s not on their website. It is a medium roast, not light as the other reviewer stated. Great tasting notes and mouth feel.

Did not know it was a light roast
This coffee is not bad the problem is that the bag doesn’t tell you what roast it is. Now I’m seeing online that it is a light roast. I would have guessed it was a medium. The coffee itself is zesty and bright, a bit sour for me. I prefer darker roasts so this coffee isn’t for me.
