About the Author

Mava is an author and illustrator living in Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. Her work is in part influenced by the old books, toys, and cartoons she liked as a kid, and in part by her love for animals and history, which play a big role in inspiring her work. When she's not drawing, she spends her free time watching movies, caring for her dogs (Brioche, Butter, and Flour), baking sourdough, and growing a dangerously large vinyl collection.
