Joie Ginger DLX Full-Size Stroller - Mocha

Pros: very elegant stroller and the pramette is a big plus so you can get a lot of use out of the stroller as your baby grows. I bought the travel system and use it with the mint latch car seat. It is not particularly heavy and it does collapse into a pretty reasonable size. You do have to use two hands in order to fold it though and it does take a little finagling to get the hang of it. As with most Joie products, I am learning that most of their items come with certain "tricks" that you have to figure out by either very carefully reading the instruction manual, or watching Youtube videos. For example, if you leave the seat attached the stroller is only "self standing" if the seat is in the outward facing, upright position with the handlebars set to the middle height position. However the bigger wheels and the larger canopy are a huge plus, especially when compared to the standard Ginger stroller which my friend has. If you are between the two I would definitely spend the extra money just for those features. In terms of cons, for a mid-range stroller I wish the cup holder was better. The cup holder is incredibly flimsy and is easily knocked off, also if you have a heavier water bottle (e.g. Stanley) it will almost certainly fall off if you hit a bump. There is also no snack tray, which isn't a problem now but it will have to be another thing I purchase when my child gets older. Also, the storage basket has a pocket with a cover but the cover is secured only with a singular button-sized piece of velcro - you would think they could afford adding another one or two pieces of velcro so your stuff isn't spilling out when you collapse and stow the stroller. Overall, I enjoy the stroller but there are a few things that could be better.

After weeks of researching strollers, I’m glad i chose this brand. I was looking at nuna, uppa, mockingbird, bugaboo. Chose this one because it didn’t feel right for family to spend so much and this brand looked like a great middle ground. Then I was in between this one, ginger DXL or Kava, chose this one because of the all terrain wheels but I really liked the look of kava. Pros that it feels like a quality stroller, easy to use, very steady, perfect for walks with my newborn and looks nice. The cons are that the color looks totally different in person, it’s more of a light grey than beige. I would have gotten the black if I knew it would be that tone, debating if I could exchange it . Also, Fabric looks bunched up, very bulky and a little heavy when folded. I do recommend it and this brand, I just wish there were more models displays to have seen it in person first.

We are huge fans of the Nutmeg stroller for errands/restaurants/keeping in our vehicle, but wanted a full size, parent-facing stroller option for longer walks. We like the all terrain tires on the DLX. The stroller frame rattles quite a bit on non-paved paths; with all the adjustable options, the frame seems a bit flimsy and hollow which causes quite a bit of rattling noise. I’m also not a fan of the low location of the cup holder; little one will be able to grab it once older. I wish Joie offered a snack tray option.

I get so many compliments on this stroller!! It looks luxurious and expensive. The wheels make for a super smooth ride and the extended canopy is an absolute must. It also holds a bunch of stuff in the bottom, and the seat moves up and down which is so convenient! It is pretty heavy, but I would still buy it 100 times over.
