Delight from the 20th Century
A wonderful treat for people who like over-the-top sugary delicacies from that cradle of civilization over there, but do yourself a favor and put them in the fridge during the summer, yes, they do melt in your mouth and also elsewhere during hot weather. Good to have halvah wrapped in bars instead of in blocks. Thanks, Joyva, for many decades of -- yeah, joy. If you like that kind of thing.

HORRIBLE, chemical taste
It has been years since I have eaten Halvah, but Joyva was to me always a good brand, not any more. This product was in date and not damaged in shipping. It had a terrible texture, like solid mush and the coating was awful, worse attempt at "chocolate". The inside tasted like nothing but what chemicals must taste like and had a terrible after tase. I am glad I stopped at first bite. I want to say shame on Joyva, you have ruined such a natural yummy snack food, making it nothing like it should be.

Happy that Target carries Joyva Halva!
I love this halva bar. Usually I cut off a1/4” bite and it lasts awhile. Someone mentioned that it is too sweet, but it’s not like a regular candy bar. You can’t eat even half of it at a time. Sadly, it’s been out of stock too often lately!

There may be better, but I have had a lot of different Halvah while in the Middle East, and from delis across America cut from rounds... This stuff is absolutely delicious with that unique flavor and texture that dares you not to eat the whole bar. It can melt very easily so note that when ordering during hot weather, and is very oily, but that takes nothing away from its flavor. Order and enjoy with confidence.
