Q: Does the bottom of the step stool have anti-slip rubber? I wonder if this is the reason why the other version (blue and white that costs 1 $ more) has much higher customer ratings than this one.

This is second one I’ve bought in 7 years only because the first one got dirty, but it was still in a like new quality other then not bright white anymore. This step stool is the perfect height and width for both our 3 and 5 year olds. We just moved and our new bathroom countertops are ridiculously high.
