About the Author

Mary Kate Doman has written more than twenty books for young readers, including the Kingfisher Decodables series. When she's not writing, she consults for some of the world's leading children's and young adult imprints and publishing houses. She also teaches graduate-level courses in children's publishing and literature. Mary Kate lives in Chatham, New Jersey, with her husband and daughter.
