Kryptonite Chain Key Chain - 8mm: Black Key Lock for Bikes

The next time I'll just find it somewhere else, maybe another store so I can pick it up. The chain itself is really nice, but initially I was going to pick it up in the store, got an email that said it was no longer available but if I had it shipped I would get it the next day, so I selected that option and it automatically changes to the day after next. Okay....so the day after next comes still no chain, check online and it states there is a delay so I go to bed. It was delivered at 10:12p that night. The next time l'll cancel the order and find it somewhere else.

It was easy to use, but my scooter got stolen with this lock on so guess it doesn't work. The lock wasn't even broken or cut, it was picked.

Super easy to use. . Easy for my 10 yr to carry, lock and unlock . Comes with to keys.. great for scooters.

I will say that this lock is heavy. I didn’t expect it to be as heavy, but that’s a good thing when your trying to prevent theft. My youngest has a medical stroller/wheelchair (Cost 5k+) and we went to a theme park where your option is to leave your strollers. Wheelchairs, etc.. at the rides gates. Knowing we would be there 2 days and it would be unattended quite a bit I was very uncomfortable. A theme park staff suggested when I called the day prior to leaving to look at bike locks. Of course I’m instantly going to the Target app and I’m scrolling and find this beauty! It was ready same day which I love but I also loved that It was easy to unlock, easy to lock back, it didn’t scratch the metal on her Stroller. Plus thick and heavy remember?! To prevent theft! 😀 It’s wrapped around it as we speak because this was the absolute best pick I could’ve asked for for her stroller!!

This chain lock was easy to use and feels reasonably effective at keeping a bike locked up. The chain smoothly locks into place and is easy to unlock with the keys. I really like the size and weight of this chain. It's long enough to lock a frame and wheel to a stand and is not so long that it's excessively heavy or unwieldy. I prefer using this over U-Locks, which are less versatile. The protective sleeve covers the chain well and does a good job of preventing scratches. As one of Kryptonite's value-oriented offerings, this is not the thickest of chain locks, so I wouldn't expect this to hold up very long to an angle grinder compared to higher-end options. However, its budget nature lets this be relatively light for a chain lock. Great for keeping your bike light. It easily fits into my bike's 8L rack bag. I was able to register this on Kryptonite's website in case of needing a replacement key. It's under the Product Family 'N/A' and Model 'Kryptonite Key Chain'. I would recommend this lock to anyone who wants a light, budget-friendly, chain lock backed by a reputable brand.

It’s very durable, I like that it has a cloth over the chain to prevent scratching

I tried to register it online per the instructions, but it was impossible to do so. They named the item online different that what is on the box. Also, poor customer service.

I waited 2 hours for nothing because they didn't have it on stock, then they had an option to go to another store, and the same thing happened. Just wast of my time and gas. This is why I don't like to order online

Very heavy duty but also the chain is very short, so limited use.

Couldn't open lock after two weeks. Key worked fine, bolt wouldn't open. Had to get locksmith.

I would not recommend for e-scooters because it’d be fairly easy for a thief to remove it by grabbing the e-escooter itself and get it out of the loop (unless your wheels have a gap that’s big enough to fit the rope and then wrap it to a bike rack. It’s meant for bikes.

Definitely shorter than expected so get two. I went back for the second one.

It's not a motorcycle chain buts it's still pretty big thick chain. Possibly heavy for some to carry with no real holder you keep it in your backpack most likely. The best thing is after you unlock don't re-engage the look, then when you lock up next time don't need to use keys just push mechanisms together and they lock.

This bike lock has incredibly heavy duty construction. The wrap around the chain prevents the lock from scratching the bike surface. The key mechanism is also incredibly solid. Only slight downside is sometimes the locking mechanism was difficult to lock and unlock

Really liked this chain. Could tell right away that its made really nicely and its not cheap looking or feeling. It was really easy to put on and work. I could instantly start using it as soon as i opened it up.
