A: Hi, thanks for reaching out about Larkmont Upholstered Bed with Tailored Piped Edge Headboard - Threshold™ designed with Studio McGee. For the Larkmont Upholstered Bed, a box spring height of 7 to 9 inches (Standard Height) is generally recommended to achieve the intended "Studio McGee" look while ensuring there is no gap between the mattress and the headboard. Because this bed has a floor-to-frame height of only 4 inches, the mattress sits quite low to the ground. Using a standard box spring helps lift the mattress to a comfortable sitting height. If you have any additional questions, we welcome you to contact MyTGTtech at 833-848-8324 every day, between 7am-11pm CST.

A: Hi - Thank you for reaching out. We appreciate your interest in Larkmont French Seam Bed. Our recommended combination for the mattress and box spring is a 9" box spring with an 11" mattress. The 9" box spring will show above the rail. A 7" will be even with the rail but you would need a 13" mattress to make up the difference. Happy Shopping!! - Emma
