[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using this product for years. I love how it finishes my look. It’s very long lasting and when I do need a touch up it’s perfect.

Laura Mercier should focus on primarily making and marketing their translucent pressed setting powder. The formula, the power puff, and the fact that the powder is pressed makes this powder perfect for setting makeup and controlling shine. I've been using this product for over 10 years and I professionally model for makeup and skincare lines. At one point they decided they were going to discontinue their pressed powder and continue with the loose powder. This would have been a big mistake as their pressed powder is phenomenal and what actual models use and people who understand makeup use.Loose powders are awful to set makeup. Not sure how their loose powder even made it as an Allure pick, but I can imagine that it was because a bunch of novice makeup artists or influencers picked loose powder. I wish this company would stop taking tips from influencers who don't understand anything and will end up tanking their companies.

It controls shine in my T-zone nicely. Often I just use a moisturizer with sunscreen and this powder as my daily face.

This is the worst business decisions this company has ever made as this is their best product and they received awards for this product. They claim that "Real Flawless Luminous Perfecting Pressed Powder" is a replacement for this powder. It is not. The luminous powder is not comparable in any way and is an awful setting powder with glitter in it. Who are they marketing their products to? Little kids? This company has gone downhill in terms of their products.

I’ve tried so many powders and being a woman of color the struggle was real. This powder is Phenomenal. It doesn’t settle into my fine lines. Keeps me shine free.

This is a fantastic powder, but please please please redesign the compact. If one doesn't have a fingernail the exact right size and length to fit in the notch, it's impossible to lift the compact compartment to get to the puff.

I have used the Translucent pressed and loose powder since 1998. And then LM changed it. I prefer the original one - texture, “color”, and all. Was disappointed with the change. Tried it, and a few products after, decided to shop around. Nothing compares, but sad that I cant get it now either. I have sensitive skin.
