Lifetime Special Edition Smoke Blue Cooler

I’ve had this cooler for five years. It easily holds enough food, beverages and ice for five day adventures with multiple people. I recently returned from a five day car camping and fly fishing trip in Idaho. The weather was warm but our gourmet food and ample beverages were kept cold. Great product.

I’ve had this cooler for about a year now and it’s been great. We’ve taken it to Bear lake, on camping trips, and more, and I’m always impressed by how long it keeps ice. We typically get at least 3 days of ice retention, and that’s without pre chilling the cooler or anything. Worth every cent

I just bought this cooler as a wedding gift for my cousin and it looks awesome! My wife and I both love the color. I already have a gray 28 quart, but now I want to keep this one for myself!

These are heavy duty coolers that really perform and I love the special edition color ones. We have two in different colors now. This pic is another color combo. I also love the built in bottle opener. You can never have too many coolers, haha! We have 4 different colors and sizes now. We haven't been camping with bears yet but watching the bear videos Lifetime does with their coolers is pretty cool! At least I know the racoons don't stand a chance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought one of these roughly 2 years ago and for my family and vehicle size, it was a great fit. Id even keep it in the house at time close by with some cold ones. The only reason im giving it 3 stars is because the blue clip ended up snapping when so the rubber didn't seat into its groove. It may have been one of my kids tbh. That being said for such a critical component to snap from such a small thing was a big bummer. I truly used that lil guy. I unfortunately did not register back then and am doing so now in hopes to get the support I need in the event something like that happens again. Id love to continue using the brand. Love the form factor and color.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i love lifetime coolers. the only reason for a 4 is on the 28, they do not put a drain pug on it. My big ones have them but i can not use it on the golf cart. please put one on it and change more for the coolers.

We got this cooler a couple of weeks ago, and we absolutely love it!! We love the color and the aesthetic of the cooler. There were a couple of things that we loved a little unexpectedly, one being the latches to close the lid, they don’t require too much force to close, but they do an excellent job of keeping the lid on tightly. Another thing is the materials used for the handles is super soft and makes it easier to carry. The ice retention is outstanding. We are able to keep ice for an extended period of time, we have found ourselves using it even for our backyard picnics!

One of my favorite features is the locking mechanisms — they feel secure and durable, which is a big plus for me as a parent of small children. It’s reassuring to know they won’t easily be able to get into it, and the added bonus of it being grizzly bear resistant is both impressive and kind of fun. Another standout feature for me is that it’s made in the USA — that matters to me, and I appreciate it when a product proudly supports local manufacturing. The top handle is great and makes it easy to carry, though I do find myself wishing it had handles on the sides as well. That said, it’s compact and lightweight enough that a team carry really isn’t necessary in most situations. As for performance: I loaded it with ice on a Thursday, and it took about five full days before the last of the ice melted. That’s seriously impressive and exceeded my expectations for a cooler this size. Overall, the Lifetime 28 Quart Cooler is sturdy, reliable, and well-designed — a great value for anyone who needs a high-performance cooler in a more compact size.

I have owned several lifetime coolers in the past and have always been a fan of them. That being said, let me tell you my thoughts on this new one. I love the upgraded handle. On the previous models of the 28 qt cooler the handle had what felt like a cheaper, foam type of material on it for padding. The handle grip on this cooler feels a lot more durable and it's easier to hold. This makes it a lot easier for carrying, especially if what you've got in there is heavy, i.e. beverages. I like that the bottom is narrower than it is on the top, so it's easy to fit into a wagon if you want to pull it around rather than carrying it. Also, the top was large enough for me to fit in a full vegetable tray comfortably. I also really like the color of this model. I love that this cooler was made in the USA. I took this to cooler to my son's double header on a 92° afternoon where it sat in the sun for about 6 hours. After those 6 hours of exposure to the sun, plus the hour-long drive to and from his game, there was some melting of the ice inside, but for the most part most of the ice was still frozen and all of the contents were still cold. It also held enough to keep us hydrated through both games. I actually had several people ask me about the cooler while there because they hadn't seen it in that color before. Overall, I am very pleased with the cooler.

We went with the 28-quart cooler from lifetime to take with us when we go riding. This item is lightweight and very well made. We have a larger one and they are “lifetime” for a reason. This size fit so perfect on the back of our side-by-side and the absolute best part is that you don’t have to strap it down! I’ve included a photo of how you can secure this beauty to your ride. We went on a 6 hour ride and didn’t put a dent in our ice packs. I highly recommend this cooler if you like to go on long rides and the bonus is, it comes in this awesome new storm blue color.

We needed a cooler to keep drinks cold during our family reunion, and the blue color immediately caught my eye—it’s even better in person! We packed it with ice and drinks each morning, and it stayed outside in the June sun all day long. With kids and adults constantly opening it, we were impressed that it still had ice left by the end of the day. We’d just drain any melted water, pop it back in the pantry overnight, and top it off the next morning. I especially appreciate the sturdy closures—they kept the lid secure, which meant little ones couldn’t sneak in (or accidentally leave it open). The rope handles are also a great touch—flexible, comfortable, and perfect for carrying solo. All in all, we loved this cooler! It kept everything cold, handled heavy use like a champ, and the color is absolutely gorgeous.

Great color combination. This is my second one of this series. They fit very well on the back of my RZR and have the perfect mounting points.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cooler met all my expectations. The cooler was able to keep my ice, for longer than 24 hours. We had a BBQ and filled the cooler up early in the morning. By the time the BBQ was over, and even the next day, the ice was still present and drinks were still cold. I had my old lifetime cooler filled as well, and this one held the ice much better. I like the hand grips better on this new model. They are much softer and I feel like I could carry it further without hurting my hands. I do wish that this cooler had wheels. It would make it easier for younger children and my wife to carry/move it around. All around, great cooler. Will be using it all summer for all the events we have planned.

We recently used our 55qt cooler for our son’s birthday party, and it was a hit—not just with us, but with our guests too! We received several compliments on the quality and look of the cooler. It’s the perfect size—big enough to hold plenty of drinks and snacks, yet still lightweight and easy to move around. One of the standout features is how well it retains ice—everything stayed perfectly chilled, and the ice didn’t melt at all during the party. We also really like how solid the latches feel. They lock tightly to keep the cold in, but are still very easy to open and close. The cooler feels durable and well-built, and we love the color and design. The built-in drain makes cleanup a breeze. We can’t wait to take it on our next camping trip—it’s roomy enough for all our food and drinks, and we know it will keep everything cold for days. Highly recommend!
