Better the Second Time!
Isla has a secret only she and Celeste know, one that could help her enemies win the centennial and possibly end her life. She makes unexpected alliances to try to win the centennial, the only opportunity she has to save her island and her people. She discovers who is friend and who is foe, completing each rulers task at the best of her abilities. She learns many secrets of Lightlark and each of her opponents while searching for the one thing that can help them all. I read this about two years ago and just read it again. I took my time this time around and I changed by rating from a 3☆ to a 5☆!

Perfect if you want fantasy with danger, romance, and plenty of heart.
Lightlark is a thrilling, fast-paced fantasy that had me hooked after a few chapters, KEEP READING!!! The world of the Centennial game is imaginative, full of curses, powers, and high stakes that keep you turning pages. I loved the tension and romance between Isla and the rulers, especially Grim — their dynamic is both steamy and engaging. While some of the world-building and rules felt a little fuzzy at times, and Isla’s character could use a bit more depth, the book is still a fun, emotional, and immersive read. Perfect if you want fantasy with danger, romance, and plenty of heart..

Amazing book
I loved the story and the characters. I love the trials and all of the competitions. I also loved all of the twists and turns that came. The author does an amazing job at connecting everything and making the little details stand out. All in all, I loved it and would definitely recommend it

Pull's You in
I am a big Romantasy fan and have read many series. Including ACOTAR, TOG, Spark of the Everflame, Trials of the Sun Queen etc... I am currently on the 2nd book in this series and I LOVE it. Slow burn, mystery, twist. I highly recommend it.

If you have trouble reading fanasty this will help!
Honestly I could never read fantasy before and I tested out ACOTR, Dune, Fourth Wing and couldn’t get into it but THIS IS SO EXCELLENT! Finally a protagonist that doesn’t get on your nerves and a story that is clear but full of adventure and detail I love it so much!
