Book Synopsis

What if aging didn't mean decline--and chronic disease wasn't inevitable?

Longevity Made Simple: Live Healthier for Longer with the DRESS Code is a transformative guide that challenges everything we think we know about health, aging, and the future of medicine.

A Stanford-trained physician and leading expert in lifestyle and integrative medicine, Dr. Shad reveals the truth: we don't have a healthcare system--we have a sick care system, one that reacts to disease rather than prevents it. Meanwhile, chronic conditions like heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and many cancers continue to cut lives short--despite being largely preventable.

Longevity Made Simple empowers you to take your health into your own hands using the DRESS Code--Diet, Relationships, Exercise, Stress, and Sleep--a practical, science-based blueprint to prevent, treat, and even reverse the chronic diseases that account for most premature, preventable deaths worldwide.

Backed by the latest research in epigenetics, Dr. Shad explains in clear, accessible language how your genes are not your fate. Instead, your lifestyle choices can change the expression of your genes, tackling the root causes of disease and promoting optimal health and vitality as you age.

You'll learn:
- What the latest science reveals about the food and habits that help you thrive
- Why connection and community may be more vital than any supplement
- How to optimize your sleep, tame stress, and move with joy
- Actionable strategies and routines that fit into real life--no matter your age or background

"As a physician deeply committed to root-cause medicine and transforming our broken healthcare system into one that promotes true health, I am thrilled to see a book like Longevity Made Simple enter the world. Dr. Shad and Dr. Carmona, two leading voices in preventive medicine and public health, have written an inspiring and accessible roadmap for how we can live healthier, longer lives.

Their DRESS Code--Diet, Relationships, Exercise, Stress, and Sleep--is more than just an acronym. It is a science-based, lifestyle-first framework for rewiring how we think about health, aging, and disease. Drawing from real patient stories, cutting-edge research on epigenetics and lifestyle medicine, and decades of clinical and public health leadership, this book powerfully bridges the gap between what we know and what we do.

"In a time when most healthcare is focused on reactive disease management, this book empowers individuals to take control of their biology, upgrade their habits, and extend not just their lifespan but their healthspan. Longevity Made Simple is essential reading for anyone who wants to prevent disease, reverse chronic conditions, and unlock their fullest potential. This book is a must-read for anyone who wants to live not just longer, but better."--Dr. Mark Hyman, Co-founder & Chief Medical Officer and Author of the #1 New York Times Bestseller, Young Forever

In all my decades in the wellness space, this book provides the most dazzlingly simple--but most science-backed--roadmap to living healthier and longer. By focusing on the DRESS code--making very doable changes in your diet, relationships, exercise, sleep, and stress--you can achieve a powerful epigenetic 'reset, ' literally turning on or off thousands of your genes in just a few weeks. You don't need to be a billionaire to biohack your healthspan, you just need this book."--Susie Ellis, Chairman and CEO of the Global Wellness Institute

"Want to add years to your life and life to your years? To live longer and better? Here's how! Elegantly and clearly written by renowned experts who understand healthy living so well they can make it simple. Highly recommended!"--Dean Ornish, M.D., #1 New York Times Bestselling Author, Clinical Professor of Medicine, UCSF
